I really dont know where to start with a review of this place. When I was down in Portland a bit ago, this place was being built. The idea and concept seemed exciting enough for me to come back and check it out when it was complete. I did so... and man this place is a complete waste of space. My buddies and I came by to kill some time here and upon the walk in, we were surprised at how big this place is. Youd want 1000 people in there to make it look full. Instead on a Sunday afternoon there was about 30 people. There are quite a few activities to partake in for entertainment, from a few ping pong tables, corn hole, shuffle board, video games, bowling, darts, billiards, even marbles... yes marbles - thats how vast this place is, they have to fill it with useless games like marbles. Prices arent insane by any means but the quality of games are pretty sad. Pay to play ping pong and cornhole? Its $2 a game to play shuffleboard. Bowling... if you dont know how to bowl then maybe youll have a good time. The lanes arent greased at all so youre forced to bowl straight. The ball weights range from 6 lbs to 12 lbs max. The pins are on some sort of string system so they dont spin when you knock them down to help with strikes. Arcade games are older and outdated. Drinks are weak and over priced. If you want to throw a large party and need open space then this is a decent spot but sheer size doesnt make up for lack of actual fun/entertainment.

Been 4 times. Service is slow but the food is good, when they remember to make your food. The first time was an okay visit (got lunch for me and my co-worker to ) sat at the bar and ordered 2 monkey bread french toast to go. Got the food and got back to work in an okay amount of time. The Monkey Bread French Toast was PHENOMENAL. The second time was brunch with my family. The server was nice but the kitchen was slow. When we got our food, my mom didnt get her food. We were told it would be right out but it got to the point where we all had to start eating without her. By the time her order (a burger and fries) came out, we were all finished with our brunch. The third time I by myself was okay, got good service and got the monkey bread french toast. The fourth time, and possibly last time, I called my order (a chicken burger to go with an extra side of the white bbq sauce on the side). I was told it would 10 to 15 minutes and the walk from my office to there is 15 minutes. Got there and STILL HAD TO WAIT 10 minutes for my food. Got my food back to the office and got a big mess. It was like someone shook up my box before putting in the bag and handing the bag over to me. And instead of an extra side of sauce, I got no sauce. The food when you can get it is great but not sure if its worth going back there again.

Service was not only awful but even had the nerve to threaten a customer! While I was waiting for the rest of my group to arrive (about twelve adults, 20s and 30s) the crazy lady at the bar demanded to see my ID FOUR separate times. Each time I pulled it out and set it on the counter for her, but she apparently forgot shed already seen it and kept cutting into our conversation to card me over and over. Finally on the fourth time I was totally annoyed and crazy lady turned into crazy female dog, threatening to kick me out just because I made an unhappy face at her! Too bad for her, I was the one who talked the other 11 into coming and giving this place a shot! While we did choose to stay and finish the couple rounds of bowling wed already bought, we were all too disgusted by the poor treatment to stay late into the night and have dinner and drinks there like we planned. Punch bowl lost out on a good $300 minimum that night alone and we definitely wont be back. Good job losing twelve customers due to sheer stupidity. Funniest part? Im alcohol intolerant. I couldnt drink even if I wanted to!

Scale of 1 -5 (1 being worst rating - 5 being the best rating) Atmosphere: 4 (Depending on the time of the day or week atmosphere can change from pretty normal pub like with some added cool features to very club like. Make your pick because there is no shortage of fun.) Cleanliness: 3 (Given the large amount of people it can hold during "club" hours the staff runs a pretty tight ship. All though men are vile creatures, and even more vile when intoxicated. So be weary of the restrooms.) Menu: 4 (The food is pretty good, nothing to special but decent. They also carry a large assortment of alcohol.) Service: 5(Really good given the large crowd of people. This a place where Brix could get a lesson or two in staff management and service.) Sustain: If i did not mention already this place has it all. From club feel, to sports bar, karaoke, ski bowl and bowling! Not a shortage of things to do for you and your friends. Improve: Id like to see a mop here and there in the mens bathroom. Unique: Who does not like bowling inside the place they party? Fail: N/A

Good concept.... poor execution. This place has a really cool venue and super friendly staff. The food was.... weird. Not necessarily bad, but everything had a kind of off taste. As far as I am concerned, they over charge for all the games they feature (shuffle board, ping pong, bowling). We bowled while visiting and the lanes and set up are kind of a joke. I am NOT a big time bowler but the short lanes even threw me off a bit. Also the pins are attached to strings and thats how they reset... this was a huge issue. They charge by the hour, and you have to stop playing about every other frame to wait for someone to come fix the tangled pins. The staff added more time to our game since we had to wait so long and so frequently for the pins to be fixed but honestly we didnt even want the extra few minutes they gave us. We were ready to go. Again, good concept, POOR execution. The friendly staff is what gave this place two stars instead of one. However, we will not be returning any time soon.

They really need to oil their bowling lanes... Just came from pbs, and that was one of the main complaints my boyfriend, who is an amazing bowler, had!! We were so stoked to get our punch bowl, $29, and have an area to bowl by ourselves. 15 mins into it we wanted to leave. Lately weve been bowling a lot and we were throwing gutter balls for the first portion of the time we were there. Then by the time we finished our punch bowl, we were looking at each other like, "was there even alcohol in that?" There was but it was not worth $29 plus tip. We left thinking we wont go back just cause the price is crazy and the bowling wasnt worth it if it isnt like normal bowling alleys. The music, decor, and vibe/help from staff was really awesome, very how you would think "Portland" would be, in the eyes of a Californian
