Substation is a young bar and venue serving the forgotten in-between of the Ballard neighborhood. The hidden venue is attached to a local band practice space and boasts nearly nightly shows by up and coming local musicians of a shocking spectrum of genres. If youre looking to support your local music scene and get a taste of the local art and nightlife community, you dont want to ignore the Substation.

What a great place to see a venue, intimate yet spacious! They do have all ages shows, but must show ID to drink (upon entering) This place has accessible restrooms for wheelchairs, and accessible entrance! All inclusive venue! It sometimes hosts free (donate what you can) shows! Good for local/regional indie shows!

Nice venue for bands looking for rehearsal space. Email to reserve houly rental in a variety of rooms fully equipped with drum kits and amps and PA equip. Listen to music nightly and share a drink from their onsite bar.

The place is nice, they have a old atari video game in the back but the real highlight were the live shows. The band went so crazy I thought they were gonna bring the stage apart. Quantum split rocks!!

Cool venue and practice place. You can get a room for hours and perform in their main stage. Glad there are places like this in such a musical town. Not much parking space though.

The venue is cool. The sound wasnt great but Im not sure if it was the band, the room, the system or the sound guy. The cider I ordered was way too much $$. But, thats fine.

We played a show there and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The booking was very communicative and the sound guy, Steven, was very accommodating.

My band the "hard rocks " rehearsed in their rehearsal rooms. They have great rock acts and burlesque shows.

The venue is nice enough. The location isnt ideal as there is no foot traffic and no businesses nearby.
