From emailing Lana about a special request, to Abby answering some questions and offering advice at the ticket counter. Katie at the main bar and her brother, Charlie helping us out upstairs, the staff at this local hidden jewel was off the charts. Got a chance to see the PNWs own, Chastity Belt, tonight and had a stellar experience. Easy to see stage...perfect for me and my similarly sized 52" friends. Strong, reasonably priced drinks. Whos heard of such a thing in a Seattle live music club?!? But the shocker??? Their bar food, didnt make me want to barf food. It was everything you need in a love music venue...tasty, fast, $10 or less. At a time when the game plan is to have several drinks food is critical. The Holy Pepperoni 10" pizza, nachos, tacos brought a smile and some needed carbs. Great band, great staff, best small venue in this town, since relocating. We will all be back. Thanks, Nectar for nailing it.

I love the events organized by Jai Ho group here but today was a horrible experience for me. I was harassed by a guy when I was waiting for our drinks. I told him that I m married stay away from me then also he kept touching me inappropriately and kissed on my cheek. Being very frustrated as there was no security guard around, I raised the volume of my voice when one of the bartender asked for my order third time and thats it another bartender called the security guard and asked me to leave. I told the security guard what happened and he apologized and said I have to leave. Really! I was the one who was harassed and they insulted me and my husband. P.s. If u r a woman who is harassed in this party, dont say a single word otherwise ull be insulted and will be thrown out while the guy who harassed u will be enjoying the party inside.

On 9/12/08, a Saturday, I drove 2 friends out with me to Freemont to the Nectar Lounge to see a dubstep show they were playing. After being there for 2+ hours, my friends & I had spent a total of about $90. Shortly after 12:30am, the very bartender who had been serving us drinks, declared that one of my friends had snuck in & was coaxing others to do the same. He was quickly tossed out by a bouncer even though he had paid his entry fee & had a stamp on his wrist to prove it. Trying to explain the situation to the bartender did no good because she simply held up her hands as peace signs & shouted "Peace Out!!!" right in our faces. They were very rude & heartless. I wrote a customer complaint last week demanding a refund & an apology & still havent recieved a response. Dont go to club Nectar! Dont let this happen to you!

Im new in town, and I m a percussionist. I asked around about places to play in Seattle. One brother told me about Nectar Lounge. So I went, let me tell you Ive been to Jam sessions all over the country, this MO Jam Mondays is by far the best Jam sessions I have ever been too. All the people who put this thing on are kool as a fan. The stage was set up for horns, vocals, percussions. Truly they know how to make this thing jump. I understand this is the 73rd Mo Jam that they have put on, and I know why. If your a musician, rapper, singer, or a comedian and in Seattle U GOTS TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. PS. I jammed so hard I missed my last bus and had to walk home to Belltown.

Came here past midnight one night to meet up with friends in one band, and hear friends in another. Walked in, found my friends, was talking for a while, when a guy found me and told me I didnt pay and I was being kicked out. I explained that nobody was working door, I had assumed because it was so late. No dice. Kicked out anyway. Nectar, chill out your over-zealous employees. If you want to charge at the door, perhaps somebody should be working it. Fail, and judging from other reviews Ive read and stories Ive heard, the arbitrary boot happens fairly regularly.

This is a pretty cool music venue. There is a variety of seating and standing options depending on your mood and energy level. For less crowded standing room, but a great view, you can stand upstairs. There is also a decent amount of seating, and several of the people that had reserved seating in the booths were happy to let others sit down. The place is decently clean (for a bar/music venue). The cocktails were also pretty decent; they werent cheap but for the quality I didnt find them to be very overpriced. The coconut mojito was delicious!

I was at nectar during Solstice and lost one of my earrings in the bar. Justin Green is freaking amazing and was able to find my earring and return it to me. They are my favorite pair and he is my new favorite person. Also this is one of my favorite venues for shows or just to kick back (even before Justin saved my life)! The patio is great, and there are fire pits for when the weather gets bad. The 80s nights are particularly great, shout-out to #all4doras and Nite Wave.

Always have a good time going here. Just saw MADCHILD. The staff is pretty chill and the atmosphere is always positive. They serve surprisingly good food. The nachos I had last time were delicious. Havent had a bad experience in the 4 times over a year we have been. The $25 price of a pitcher of beer caught me off guard, but to be fair I rarely drink so that could be the norm. For smokers its really convenient as you can see the show still from the outdoor smoking area.

Best venue in Seattle hands down. Great accessibility to the bars, an intimate stage space and all the renovations theyve done are EXCEPTIONAL. Theyve truly raised the bar with all their new additions. Their drinks are fairly reasonable, the food is pretty good with great proximity to other fantastic restaurants, and the shows they pull in are top notch. Every single night there is music, and Ive never been let down with anyone they bring in.

I also REFUSE TO GO TO NECTAR! My belongings I paid to have monitored at the coat check were GIVEN AWAY to someone else! No refund, no reimbursement, the manager took zero responsibility for the situation. As for atmosphere, this place is for people who dont mind vomit on the bathroom floor or bouncers constantly shouting for people to pack in tighter because they oversell tickets...that kills whatever good vibe is coming from the stage.

Been to Nectar several times for some live shows and everytime this place suffers from the same issues - POOR muffled sound, extreme overcrowding to due to over selling tickets (so overcrowded where it becomes dangerous), and no flow for people to walk thru the place. The coolest part of this place is the outdoor area, but you cannot hear any music out there, even with the doors opened. SELL LESS TICKETS!!

Such a great place to go see shows. They have an outside area which is especially awesome during the summer. Mix that with their great drink specials and youre sure to have yourself a good time. Tickets for the shows are always reasonably priced too. Its VERY close to Brouwers Cafe which is usually where we go to before heading here (they have a ton of awesome beer on tap).
