Sending much aloha out to our new friends at the Chapel On Echo Bay! We are a touring musical group and we found this little GEM of a performance space on Fox Island!! Were never sure what were going to end up with in the way of a performance space and or how the venue promotes the event but we have to say that in the 12 years that we have been doing this the Chapel On Echo Bay has to be in the top 10 spaces weve ever played at. It is in such a beautiful place . The event organizer was fantastic (Sarah Kellerman) she did everything and more she said that she would to promote the event. They actually seemed to care about the turn out, and about what we needed to have a great concert. If we HAD to find one area of constructive criticism, it would have nothing to do with staff or location. The church sits on one of the most scenic vista points for the island and just so happens to face into the sun during the time we were starting the concert. BUT.....just when we thought this was going to be an issue they pointed out the shade blinds behind the stage on the windows and brought our a huge Hawaiian print quilt that they were able to hang up in front of the window so that we were not just silhouette in a sunny glare. PERFECT. We are already making plans to come back next year! Thank you Sarah, that was an awesome event!!! I was surprised to see a couple of negative reviews . . . . perhaps at one time the Chapel was on a learning curve and made mistakes......if so it seems as they have worked out the bugs because our event came off without a hitch!
