Horrible staff! Marshals dont know what they are doing. We started with a 3 some and they added a fourth guy who was slower than the rest of us. Still we were playing in well under the advised time and on the 16th hole, the marshal came up and said we were on the clock. Then he wouldnt leave us alone and hounded us on all the way up 16 & 17. We were totally uncomfortable with his nagging presence and quit! Went back to the clubhouse to demand a refund and told nothing doing! We are experienced golfers who understand the etiquette and timely execution of play. We will never play here again and although the course was in good shape, this experience has totally soured me on ever playing this course again. Would not recommend going there for an enjoyable time!

Great course. The afternoon tends to have a lot more wind coming in off the water which makes the approach to the club house very challenging with the wind in your face. I never thought wind played that much in club selection until playing this course, and I still dont have the hand of things. Driving range is legit and there is a nice little practice chipping area (though I would like to see it be longer). The putting green is large and there is an ice/water machine right there at the cart house where you can keep your Yeti filled!!! The staff is friendly and the clubhouse clean. Just, there is not proper locker to change clothes/cleats... so just a heads up.

Riverfront Golf course is one of the worst experiences a golfer can image!! You play the round on time, they put a marshal on your every shot because the scratch golfers playing behind you are in a hurry, but never ask to play through and the marshall actually says the times were good. But, he stays around just to annoy you so you pay more attention to him than hitting the ball which is frustrating and not a way to play the game. When you then quit early and complain to the pro he is sympathetic but wont refund you green fees. STAY AWAY from this place - worst experience EVER playing a round of golf!!

Have played this course many times. It is a beautiful and challenging course. One of the best courses in the area. The one complaint I have came in my last round there. I was playing with a foursome and the course was pretty backed up. There was a twosome behind us that kept complaining about the pace of play and the Marshall came and said something to us on three different occasions even though it was obvious that we were constantly waiting for the group in front of us. Very distracting. Other than that, I have never had any problems. Great course.

Great course !! Great condition !! This is a course I look forward to playing over and over. Great staff and friendly service in the clubhouse. I have no complaints but one recommendation. The course has good markers but the grass has grown over most of them and you cant see them. Would be nice if they would trim the grass around them so you can see them or add a 200 and 100 yard post. But its a great course you will truly enjoy.

Golfing doesnt get any better in Hampton Roads than Riverfront. Just returned from Florida for a winter vacation and none of the courses there compared to the quality of Riverfront. Its a "must Play" for anyone that truly enjoys a challenging round and near perfect conditions practically year round.

This is a fantastic course. I love the way they built it into the surrounding wetlands. Nature is always close. The fairways are in great shape and the layout is pleasing to the eye. Most fairways are wide enough that you can still let it rip. My favorite course in the Hampton Roads area.

Without question one of the nicest public courses in the area. Wonderful condition and layout. The greens are nearly perfect and very undulating but putt very true. Plays like a resort course in myrtle beach. A must play if you ask me.
