The course is a great challenging layout and for the most part very well maintained. Friendly staff always accommodating. A few improvements to consider: Make a big effort to get the players to repair green ball marks and fairway divots, this can be pursued with a card in the card holder on the carts that directs player to fill fairway divots with the sand provided and repair ball marks. Easy to do, no cost. Got to keep the sand bottles filled. To get more players and increase revenue there are several greens that are unfair (not even golf friendly) that should be regarded, far too much slope. #3, #7,#9, #12,#13. I understand there is a significant cost involved but could be done over several years. It will pay off in the long run.

i have been playing here since the day they opened. i have played at least 150 times or more since opening. it has always been first class course. everybody there is wonderful but the problem is the greens are nothing but unrepaired ball marks that are to old to fix. good greens can make or break your game. the rangers ride around and do nothing. how about the rangers stop watching tee shots and start watching greens for golfers who dont fix marks or dont care. for the money many of us will not be back until they are fixed. weekend players are the worst. we played on monday the 24th and it was terrible. i golf 4 or 5 times a week with other guys and sometime groups and they dont want to come back.

Outstanding course; great shape; many invitingly wide fairways, tough greens, blind dog-legs, challenging carries over water and jungle; real sand in the bunkers. Much better value than many private courses costing much more. Definitely NOT an easily walkable course, it lives up to its slope rating (139), i.e., hilly, and lots of distance from green to tee, with many long and winding paths that cannot be short cut; it would not be an easy walk for any but a tiny franction of players (and theyll have a very tough time keeping up pace of play). Pay the price, enjoy the ride, and the free range balls.

Greystone is the prettiest golf course in the County System. I also really appreciate the STAFF, front desk & management on how they treat and interact with golfers. I do not get that feeling @Fox Hollow (where I also play a lot). I wish I could get there more often. Grounds are well manicured as well. Greens are top notch. Rocky Point was the worst Ive ever played last month. Even the grounds folks when I come across them, they wave and always have a smile.

My favorite public course hands down. This place could very well be mistaken for a private club. Greens fees include range balls and the practice area is fantastic including a grass driving range, putting green and a separate area for bunker and short game work. Fast greens are the ticket at Greystone and will test any golfers skill and patience. Meticulously kept, never over crowded and always a challenge. If you havent played here youre missing out.

BIG FELLA
By far the best of all of the Baltimore County courses. It was a great day to play and a great day to be Veteran! Big kudos to Baltimore Golf for Honoring those of us who served in our Armed forces. Your treatment to us Vets will not go un-noticed and we all Thank You for the token of appreciation that you showed us on this Day to honor the uniforms that we all wore with pride!

My foursome plays Greystone on a regular basis and we love the course: well kept and the $49 dollar special: a round, a sleeve of balls and lunch. We are getting up in age and to get down into some of the bunkers is physically challenging. Steps should be placed in the steeper bunkers :greens 1, 2, 5, 6. 8, 9, 11,12.13.14, 17 and 18.

Absolutely beautiful golf course, with A+ service. Youd think you were at a private club, but it is a public course. Long fairways, deep rough, and tricky greens make this course very challenging. Greens fee includes cart and practice range. Course is easily walkable, but there is no break in the price.

Greystone has been, and I hope will continue to be the most fun, challenging and well managed golf course in the Baltimore Metro area. Thanks to the managers and employees - my teacher - Mike Messina - and the nice ladies behind the counter for making each visit a fun visit..... Thanks - Greystone!

Favorite course in MD by far. 5 par fives, rarely too busy, out in the middle of nowhere so there are no holes next to a road. It has great views. It has a lot change of height of the ground so hitting shots down to the green or up to the green. Check it out.

Tough course, but kept in impeccable condition. Golfed this course recently for a work outing and had a great time. Each hole is completely different and challenging (e.g. pin placement, hill grade, tree location). Look forward to coming back here again!

It seems that they have opened the bar to a more comfortable dining area. The menu has been expanded considerably and the cheeseburgers are phenomenal. Also I highly recommend the firecracker shrimp as a sweet tangy appetizer.

nice course but greens are to short for the and heavily contoured and so played like a putt putt course. if you dont hit it up to the hole its coming all the way back. OK for 1 or 2 holes but after a while it starts to suck.

I just played Greystone and they are dummying down the course. Taking out beautifull sand traps to make it easer. That is not going to translate into more rounds played. It just makes the course less attractive to me.

The course is not for beginners. This is a top quality course and a challenge to a mid to low handicap player
