If you want to see a band you like and feel like its a more intimate concert, this is the place. However, the bartenders arent up to par. They dont see who was there first and will skip over you if you arent blatantly deliberate with them! Thats nt saying they were rude though, they were very nice. It is located on E. Cary St. which is easy to navigate. But, if you go to a late concert and want to get a signing from the band, be prepared to stand outside by the bands vehicle because when they shut down, they shut down and their manners do too. One of the cooks or bouncers, not sure which he was, was quite rude to some fans waiting for RED to come out for signings. Nobody was being rude and nobody deserved his treatment.

A decent venue but it really depends on the floor. It is split into two venues basically, the upstairs and downstairs will have completely separate events. Upstairs is a far better experience- setup and all, specifically if you are at the downstairs venue while an event is upstairs. I have to give 3 stars because it can be difficult to see the bands on the stage of the downstairs venue. The last show I attended, the upstairs musics bass was coming through very clearly over the band I was watching perform. However, that said, Ive seen a bunch of great bands here and I do plan to return.

Just went to a concert on 10/15/15 and it was great, the lighting, speakers, and everything was set up well for a club. Considering it was a rock/metal concert it got a bit rough but there was plenty of space to jump around in. We did have to stand outside in the heat for a long time and they were running late opening the doors but the staff was very kind and the only problem was the bartender was lacking a bit in service but over all the place was great. Very clean and you can always get tickets for a great price. I would most definitely recommend it as a place to go.

Great place for mush and staff was really caring and helpful...offered to walk us to our car as a questionable individual had been seen nearby. I thought it went above and beyond and topped off the great experience we had had throughout the night.

Great live music both upstairs and downstairs $4 for any draught beer is quiet a solid deal. Staff can be a bit testy and the bathrooms kinda suck but overall this place is finally back on its feet!

Staff allows crowdkilling and senseless assault. Cant enjoy a concert at the front row without getting punched in the back of the head repeatedly unsuspectingly.

Amazing club for small shows. Always have a decent view of the band and the crowd never gets too wild. I make 6-8 visits here per year.
