A little about me. Im 23 years old and Im originally from West Virginia. I say that just to let you know that my hookah experiences are definitely different from the local Wilmington scene. After going to both local hookah bars, I have to say that my juggling gypsy experience left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and metaphorically). I found the service to be acceptable meaning the staff was knowledgeable and friendly enough. However, the good in my experience stopped there. The hookah was a double hose Egyptian mod (from what I could tell). The first problem I have is that any double hookah should have a ball bearing allowing two people to smoke seamlessly but, this was not the case. Im sure the particular mix of shisha I ordered was good but the use of quick light coals immediately destroyed any hope of a decent smoking experience. If Im paying $16 for 2 people to smoke a quick light coal shouldnt even be a consideration. The taste was so terrible that my girlfriend couldnt even smoke it. I was told there were coco coals in the building but they "werent cooperating". I understand humidity is definitely a concern in a coastal region but 25-30 minutes in the oven at 250 degrees will bake any humidity right out of the coals. Im almost certain these coals werent provided out of pure laziness. The building as a whole seemed to be in disrepair given the leaky roof, poor ventilation, and terrible color schemes. This place is a little too sketch for my comfort. If youre okay with a sketchy environment and a sub-par smoking experience this is absolutely the place for you hands down. If you want a quality experience with a great staff and excellent smoking experience go to gulhane hookah lounge (also known as Arabian nights).

This is truly a strange unique grab-bag of a bar in Wilmington that has to be checked out. It is always a different entertainment that ranges from the weird to amazing. You never know what you will get. The crowd changes but tends to be predominantly people from the local art community. If you want a unique night away from the ordinary come here a have some hookah.

Went there last nite pretty cool place just read reviews for this place and the Arabian nights the ppl reviewed it Im guessing they work there lol check the date and they reviewed this place and weird, same day they think this place sucks lol stupid ppl but I liked the juggling gypsy and no I dont work there

Dont do Monday night "open Mic" night...opening act was only fairly better than closing...honestly...with only two heckles...closing act sat in chair on stage for 10 minutes silent...beer afficiantoes dream...entertainments nightmare...if you dont heckle, they think they are ready for SNL...

Found this place because my Son performed there juggling fire and glow in the dark lights. Small place, had comfortable seating, lacks service to clientele drinks. Very impersonal feeling there. Did not like the weird contraptions for smoking dont know what.

This place is a cozy spot to chill with couches or chairs n relaxing music. Here on business so free WiFi was a definite plus too! Definitely recommend for anyone that wants a calming atmosphere... :) p.s. 1st time ever trying hummus and it was amazing!

Im a visitor from New Mexico. Place was good for a session. They have excellent selection of beer. The only issue was this place was really warm inside. There is no reprieve from the heat here. Also, need to throw some ice in the hookah base.

My favorite place to just chill and talk with friends or meet new people. Most nights its a warm and inviting environment, but it can border on the pretentious at times. Great beers, good hookah. Parking can get tricky.

Its a fun dive-y kind of place my band on the West Coast would play all the time. Fun atmosphere, colorful and eclectic crowd. The total opposite of downtown Wilmington. Love it and will be back soon!
