We have attended many different events here from boat shows to gun shows and just about everything in-between. Oh yes, we have been to many NASCAR races (all three series) and an Indycar race here too, and have enjoyed every experience. Go early. take your time and be patient getting into the parking lot. Remember that there are like 80,000 people leaving at the same time you are and remain cool, calm and collected. You will eventually get on the road. Over the last few years we attend more of the other events (boat show, home & garden, etc..) then NASCAR races but that is due to the dumb NASCAR NFL-wanna-be Chase format and not due to this excellent facility. This is not a review of dumb NASCAR executive decisions, so i will stop here. This is a review of a well run, well manged facility that we would recommend to anyone. Our son did the Rusty Wallace Experience there a couple times 9first as a ride-along, then a driver) and that was OUTSTANDING. He drove one of Greg Biffles old cars (#16). Excellent venue.

Going to the Richmond Raceway was an amazing experience. It was my familys first NASCAR race and we were not disappointed. We parked at one of the many local "popup" parking lots. The once we chose was $10 and they had food and corn hole games. The walk to the Raceway was short and there was plenty of vendors and shows going on with Drivers and entertainment. Even a mini ferris wheel for the kids which they loved. We had Pit Passes so we all were able to see the Pits up close and the crews with their equipment. We watched many of the cars get pushed from their trailers to the Pits. Drivers were walking around and doing interviews. Very exciting! The race itself was loud and wonderful. I dont remember who won but we all had a great experience. Highly recommend for families that want to experience something different or anyone that enjoys NASCAR.

Went here for the Reptile show this weekend, and it so happened it was the Southern Womens Show as well, so I am giving them credit on the fact they were swamped, but the parking lot attendants were very rude and not helpful to the parking situation at all. Instead of sending the cars out away from pedestrians they sent them directly towards us, which caused a even worse back up and simply a dangerous situation. More training of parking lot staff is a must. Also the facilitys themselves need a major facelift, they are dirty, smell moldy and a good bleaching in the bathrooms. Maybe the janitorial staff needs to be trained as well!

I drove from Blacksburg Va ,,we stayed two night..I had a blast all day buying shirts and what knots ..The race its self was ok But what made it not so good was the fact that the radio station did not carry the race ,,we switch to AM freq,,,nothing .. That made the race real boring ,,we left at 156 laps ..I would recommend to the Richmond Race Way to invest in a FM station ..If they did this i would return.. Other wise Martinsville is were you well found me ,,Great FM station Ron GInger

We were here for the third stop with Mini Takes The States. The venue was fine and the track was very fast, but they had unusually strict rules that didnt seem normal. Having now been to so many tracks, it is unusual (for example) that you cant have a pet (even on a leash) in the infield... They were the only track with this rule. As a venue, it is obviously one of the older circle tracks, so the facilities are starting to show their age, but it is all still fine. No other complaints.

The people who work there are supper friendly and being handicap they offer golf cart rides. We did pay a whopping amount of money to be in the garage and pit areas while in the garage area it rained so hard we were wet clear to our unmentionables we stay that way for the entire day, it would have been nice to be allowed to have umbrellas like the staff. Other then that and the cost I LOVED IT. Was at the track April 2016

The racing is good. Getting in and out are a nightmare. We spent 2 hours sitting in the parking lot behind the backstretch where its a mile walk to the track. 8 cops standing in a group chatting and watching while 8 lanes of cars are jockeying to go out a single lane exit. Martinsville does it WAY better. Or you can leave the race early and miss the finish, but you get right out of the parking lot with no wait.

My husband and I decided to visit RIR for the first time this past weekend. Our home track is Bristol Motor Speedway and weve often visited Martinsville. We were really impressed with the staff of the track and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there. The only issue was exiting afterwards, which we understand the delay in trying to get thousands of people out of a small area. We would definitely go back!

One of my best experiences Ive ever had at a nascar race... The only day that I couldnt enjoy really was Friday before the race due to nasty thunderstorms... but other than that... had a blast... highly recommend this track to anyone that loves Saturday night short track racing... Bristol motor speedway is still my favorite track out of all the ones ive been... but this track is a very close second

Anyone wanting to experience the thrill of driving a stock car should go to the Rusty Wallace racing experience. As a man that has run a professional Skydiving Center for over 30 years I am very familiar with safety.. They do an outstanding job of making sure youre safe and are informed. Have a great time and dont forget to get the pictures. V/R Larry Pennington CEO Skydive Suffolk Inc.

I had a great time with the ride along it was amazing, but unfortunately my driving experience was horrible. I would love to have blamed it on my lack of experience but the fact that I had a spotter in my ear chewing me out and threatening me, and not allowing me to gain any confidence in his guidance or the track, made me want to leave after my first lap. I WILL NOT be coming back.

Parking here for a live Life concert was a big hassle. Once you are in line and waiting to park, you begin seeing signs that require $5 for parking. No backing out. Only cash. I didnt have cash, so I was redirected to an atm with. 4 dollar surcharge. If you dont want to pay for parking, you can leave, and park somewhere else (non existent) not a pleasant experience.

As a racefan I passed by Richmond and decided to go take a look and asked if it was possible to see the track. We got a private tour from Chris and it was amazing, going into the stands, victory lane. Drove 3 laps on the track and so on. It was amazing. A big thank you to Chris, you were very very nice!
