Great golf course for an average-poor golfer. Really wide fairways, only a few water holes. Somewhat longer than the Northern Virginia courses. I have played it several times and it is never crowded. You can usually play as slow as you want (lots of mulligans) and no one notices. Simple design, and nothing too challenging. Serious golfers may want to try somewhere else. The greens were well kept, but the fairways were barely distinguishable from the rough. I like it because my reason for playing golf is to get outside, drink some beer and relax. If you are looking for a tournament quality course thats maintained to the highest standards, you will be disappointed. All in all a fun course for a relaxed game.

The grounds crew and management should be ashamed. As a former groundskeeper, I was shocked to see Pythium blight covering just about every area tee to approach on every hole on the front nine. This is the worst disease that a golf course can have but needs to be addressed soon before they lose everything. Crabgrass tees, crabgrass fairways, decent greens. On the 18th hole I pulled off the cart path by 6 feet and was reprimanded for not staying on the path by the green, believe me they have much bigger problems than a cart off the path. Get your priorities straight. Asking $47 on a Sunday morning is a joke. Never going back.

$39.00 to play in a cow pasture. You could not tell the rough from the fairway. Where the grass was cut there were clumps or cuttings left behind. One fairway was mostly dirt. The greens were aerated and it was next to impossible to putt in a straight line. The score cards did not have a map and there were no arrows indicating where the next tee box was located. I played this course three years ago and it was nice. Never again.

Absolutely disgraceful. Cannot believe this course has the positive feedback that is does online. I am writing this review so that no one else falls into this sick trap. Please do not waste your time or money, youd be better off taking your clubs and a few balls into your back yard. Heaven forbid there be rain showers, youll find yourself playing from puddle to puddle. Skip the trip to Louisa and head to Spring Creek.

I played here on vacation. I enjoyed it. The greens were in good shape and rolled well. If I lived in the area, I would play the course often. It isnt super hard, and if you hit the ball where you are supposed too the conditions are fine. The rough and bunkers were the two areas that were not kept well

I have never seen a golf course in as bad a shape as this one. The place is a cow pasture. Dont go by the pictures. And they have the nerve to charge you to play this place. We picked up after 15.

Tanyard is a great home course for anyone looking for consistent service and no pressure play. The course is open nearly every day of the year and priced affordably.

I enjoyed playing at this course. It has a few bad holes but every course has its problems.
