We really enjoy working with Janice. She is very approachable and helpful to my organization in ensuring my clients are well taken care of when staying at the property. Aside from the hospitality shown by the owner, the property is well maintained, rooms are spacious, and the location is perfect. See what a client of mine had to say about his recent experience- This is a small, family owned and operated, beautiful bed and breakfast. Located conveniently just minutes from Richmond, Virginia in the lovely town of Glen Allen, this is a lovely property that allows you to escape the sounds and hustle of the big city. The property has 4 rooms each with bathrooms, tv, and breath taking views of the property, which houses a small lake complete with swans and ducks, a Gazebo for weddings, and well kept grounds for walking or relaxing. In addition, you wake up in your comfortable bed to the smell of a home cooked southern breakfast, prepared with succulent ingredients and a pinch of love by the family matriarch. This is provided each morning at 8:30 when you are seated at the family table. This is truly a hidden gem and a wonderful place. The venue was beautiful, however the waiting room for the men at a wedding was terribly hot and seemingly an air-conditioned. Also, the on-site coordinator Mary Lee, was pushy and did not follow the instructions of the wedding couple. She changed the way the couple and wedding party came to the service even after our priests and told her to do it the way the couple wanted. I would not send another wedding or party to this venue if Mary Lee was going to be a part of their service staff.

If you have ever wanted to be in a wonderful southern setting similar to something you may have seen in the movie Forrest Gump this place is for you- Janice is amazing and kind and really goes out of her way to make sure that you have everything you need- The room was nice and cool even though it was very hot outside- and the home cooking was phenomenal!!! I want to stay here every time Im in the Richmond, Virginia area.

Gorgeous home! The grounds are well kept, as is the house. The rich, family history of the one and only Bed and Breakfast make it truly inviting. While I was only there for any event, I cant wait to have a weekend there with my wife, and I live locally!

An American Failure

The rooms are big and have a very rural charm. The staff were cheerful as the feel of the rooms. Its a small family owned and operated bed and breakfast. The grounds are beautiful. The only thing that makes me sad is that I couldnt stay longer.
