I strongly recommend other options in the Leesburg area. I reserve two rooms for my family as we had to attend my wifes memorial service and Leesburg in the morning. The hotel had booked a wedding and they promised the music would be finished by 11 p.m. I thought that was reasonable, so I thought nothing of it. Believe me, the banging was very loud from the amplified music. When 11 p.m. rolled around and the music wasnt over I called down to the desk. They changed the finish time to 12:30 a.m. When I responded that I had a memorial service to go to in the morning and needed sleep, the answer I got was that there was nothing they could do because the wedding had been booked five months before. In other words, that wedding trumped my memorial service. My son looked up local Leesburg ordinances and found out that the hotel and the wedding were breaking the law, so I had to call the police. The police came and the music died down. The staff was rude and unaccommodating. It seemed to me that they were either new or untrained. The hotel room itself had its problems. The bathroom door wouldnt close. Im not saying the door wouldnt lock. Im saying it wouldnt close. I understand this is an old hotel that they are trying to slowly fix, but this places prices do not reflect the state of the hotel. It is way overpriced for what it can deliver. If I stay in Leesburg again I will be staying in other places that are newer and better kept up. I strongly recommend you do the same.

Absolute worst hotel stay Ive ever had in my life. Fire alarms going off in the middle of the night, management couldnt seem to care less. Room keys would stop working at random. Room smelled musty and felt damp. Accommodations that were promised to my friend for his wedding were not provided. The entire exterior was in disarray, as though they had started multiple projects, but hadnt completed any. The bartender was making out with her boyfriend, also an employee it seemed, in plain view of the bar rather than taking care of customers. All of this was going on, firefighters and the fire marshals were there, and my friend and his bride were standing in the lobby trying to get answers, and the best any of us were given was "the manager gets in at 12." Im not sure what sort of emergency would warrant your manager rolling out of bed before noon, but Id think fire code violations and an angry bride and groom with over 30 guests should do the trick...apparently not. You need to clean out your management, figure out the few employees who actually care (yes there were a few) and train them. And get dehumidifiers throughout the building so guests dont feel like theyre waking up with black lung from what I can only assume was an abundance of unseen mold in the humid rooms and hallways. Thanks to Nick from corporate for picking up the bar tab for the wedding group to try to make up for everything. But honestly, it was too little too late.

I had great experience celebrating my bridal shower party at Holiday Inn which turned into a mini wedding party since many guests couldnt make it to our out-of-state ceremony. Andrew Mercer and team have been great every step of the way, demonstrated knowledge of the muslim culture specifics, and stayed sensitive to the ladies only privacy requirement. Our intimate 100+ ladies and children party enjoyed excellent food served on time and in abundance, no trays were kept empty. I highly recommend taking advantage of the free tasting included in general expenses. The chef prepares amazing meals which are cooked differently for conventional restaurant and catering serving styles. The only thing you will have to agree on is the spice level. Chef likes it hot! We ended up asking for no spice at all and food was still plenty flavorful and somewhat spicy to our liking. There are plenty of decorations and furniture provided on site. Andrew will show you pictures from past events to choose from. The selection of linens for table and stage backdrop is plentiful, we were able to fully satisfy our theme needs and more, you can add your own touches to the room and table/centerpiece setting. Big Fat Thanks to the banquet team, please stay in business, we will be returning for more celebrations!

The location of the hotel was not convenient. It was advertised as downtown Leesburg but was on one side of the highway and nowhere near downtown. The hotel itself looked like it was a refurbished old house and looked shabby. We chose Clarion because they are usually nice properties- this was an exception. We had a late dinner in the restaurant Saturday night and the blonde waitress was continuously arguing with the other waitress. The wait was long and when the blonde in short cut-off jean shorts brought out the wrong order, we just said wed take it cause we were hungry. She informs us that she "may have taken a bite of the hamburger". WHAT THE HELL? We told her to take it away and she then asked us if we minded if she took the whole burger. Who in their right mind would say this to customers?? Also, who in the world do you have working in that restaurant?! We refused to eat breakfast in that hotel because we had no idea what was going on in that kitchen. You need to SERIOUSLY look at what is going on in there and possibly make some better hiring decisions. All this on top of a mediocre hotel experience makes us never want to stay at a Clarion again. Seriously in awe over this whole situation.

My wife booked this in a hurry through a pet friendly hotel website. She did not notice that the only TWO reviews on their site were positive but many elsewhere were negative. The staff was very polite but ten minutes after arriving in our room and I was having trouble breathing. The air was thick, difficult to explain. The building was in obvious disrepair, obvious water damage in parts and the carpets were a mess. Just everything looked run down. Our room looked surprisingly clean but I just couldnt stay. Had to have my wife at the airport at 4:30 in the morning and it was clear I wouldnt be able to sleep. The manager agreed to issue a refund but unfortunately the booking company has a no refund policy. Staff handled the situation well, offered another room in the same building - unfortunately it was the building that was the problem. There seemed to be a nicer section of the hotel but I am guessing that they place people with pets in the worst. Were all staying at a hotel closer to the airport with no pet fee and much cleaner. The second hotel even gave us two free drinks at the bar for our problems, thats service!

Uggggghhhhhhhh!!!!! We had a terrible stay. There was construction dust and styrofoam falling from the air system as we checked in and also every time we had to go back to the front desk to make a complaint. Our first room smelled terrible and had ants. For the second night they were able to move us to another room which also smelled bad, the sink had a crack that leaked water all over the floor, an A/C unit that was on its last legs, and the drain stopper didnt work. The hotel management and employees were very resistive to and incapable of handling complaints. The lady running the complimentary breakfast actually dead-bolted the fire exit and locked people in the restaurant/bar area, which is illegal as a life safety concern. Fire alarms only worked in the hallways and not the individual rooms, which is also another life safety concern. Yes the fire alarms went off at 5:30am. I am a light sleeper and it took me about an hour to wake up to the alarms. I dont recommend staying at this hotel for any reason as my experience was very unpleasant.
