Bowl America Falls Church is a well-kept establishment with a horrible staff. My family went there to bowl over the Christmas break and found the desk worker and the "customer service rep" (Marc) to be extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We had a group of 4 children and 7 adults, so we requested 3 lanes. We were told we could only have 2 lanes, despite the fact that only 16 of the 48 lanes were occupied!! When we asked why, we were told that the alley "might have customers come in who would need that lane!" This occurred on a Thursday at 11:45 a.m.!! As a result, one of the adults in our group had to sit out or bowl with the kids in a bumper lane. She chose to sit out. The employees refusal to allow us an additional lane made no sense whatsoever. In fact, a written notice on the counter states that groups of 7 must take 2 lanes!! By the time we left Bowl America, there were 13 of the 48 lanes in use, so its a good thing we didnt take up that extra lane and prevent the hordes of eager bowlers from enjoying it!! Marc turned what could have been an enjoyable family outing into a ridiculous exercise in frustration. We wont be going to the Falls Church Bowl America again!!

The only things updated in this bowling alley since the 1970s are the prices. The bowling computers are not user-friendly. The ball return refused to return my own ball almost every time because apparently 15 lbs is too much work for it, defeating the entire purpose of having anything but a lane ball. At the relatively expensive price per game here, I somewhat expect things to work. To top it off, the concessionaire refused to serve alcohol to someone in our party who is CLEARLY over 21 because she, an international student, only had her foreign-issued drivers license with her, and they dont accept identification from other nations as proof of age besides passports. Maybe theres a market for making fake international IDs for 30 somethings, but I kinda doubt it. Because, you know, common sense...

There should be option of 0 star as ..i was there with my husband and with my sisters at 5pm, since it was there 1st time they were very excited.. we were having fun but ag our 3rd game ..Worst customer service i have ever seen... the man with a beard who talk to me was very rude and arrogent... when i asked him to remove one person from our game and he asked me name i said sa***** and i told him or S as shown in display there and he told me i know S as sa***** it doesnt start with I .. i was like what the hell is he talking and not in a fun way he side eyed me and i was like so angry... He does not have any manner to talk with customers... so ruthless and i was very embarassed and was scared of their customer service never ever going back there and would warn other people to go there.

I tried to bring six little girls for a mini birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. I called her a few days in advance to reserve a lane, and the person that answered the phone was apparently busy, because halfway through reserving a lane he helpfully told me that I need not worry there would be plenty of space at that time. When I arrived I was told it was an hour wait. Perfect. The losers will not even let you reserve a near time, nor take your phone number to text you when the lane becomes available, instead they expect you to stand around and soak up the ambience. For. An. Hour. .... or lose your place.... But they again are happy to helpfully (rudely and dismissively) tell you this fact The service here sucks donkey testicles, Go some where else, please

Met up with friends there. They had already been playing and we waited to be added into next round. The lady at the food counter was all by herself and looking really over worked and under paid. She was nice though but really could have used some help handling the orders. The food is ok I got nachos which were overpriced but my friend got the double burger meal and that was worth what they asked. The lanes are uneven, building is old so the floors are a little warped, and really close together not much room for players to throw. At the end of the night when I and my date went to pay for our rounds the mister at the counter refused to charge everyone individually and my date was forced to pay for everyones games. Not going back to this place.

Its a bowling alley - a bit old but brings a sort of nostalgic feel to it. What has me giving 2 stars is the customer service. Its horrible. Like one reviewer said, it feels that everyone that works there, seriously hates being there. Every component of customer service from the front counter to the food service is completely lacking. One quick note, if you have kids - you know how much they love the arcade. There is a no refund policy which is understandable. However, they have one game there that costs $1 a time and never works. They refuse to place an out of order sign on it. They just dont care at all...even the manager on-site.

Every food product I have tried here was below substandard. Awful. The wait times for food are very long. It isnt that the staff is overloaded -- it is that they are untrained, un-managed, and plain lazy. Several times I have ordered food and the person taking the order never came back. Asking for a beer can take upwards of ten minutes even if you are the only person in line. The facility itself is OK. The staff is bearable. The kitchen needs rescue ASAP.

Visited two weeks ago with a three year old friend. Wonderful activity for a youngster...raised lane bumpers, little kid sized shoes, and rack to place ball on in order to push ball down the lane. Summer youth program is terrifically priced for kids. Not 5 stars because I found lane was not properly waxed and there was no "slide."

The staff at this place is terrible, uniformly. From the shoe guy to the drink girl, they all seem to hate you the minute you walk in the door. We bowled successfully, but the miserable experience with the staff almost ruined it. For my money, the bowling alley in Annandale (amf) is far more enjoyable.

Sunday evenings $2.22 for lane, sales and per game (after 6 pm) - as of 16 July, 2017. Staff friendly, place relatively clean. Nothing wrong but could do with a face lift (old system, chipped balls, etc). Also had an issue during payment though staff resolved it quickly and amicably.

No frills bowling alley. The staff members were very nice. Reasonably priced - ~$25 for two people to bowl three games, including shoe rentals. There are lots of reviews on here of the food / drink. We didnt buy any food and probably wouldnt, its a bowling alley. Would go back.

An old smelling bowling rink that hasnt been cared for very well. The bowling is expensive and the facilities are decaying. The staff are not very friendly or helpful either. Would have expected more based on the price. There are many other newer bowling alleys to choose from.
