We took our kids there to bowl and have a quick lunch. I love wings and try them almost wherever I go, especially when referred as the post below did. I figured that a year had gone by since the negative post, right... The food is awful, and awfully expensive. I feel negligent for feeding my children there. It was almost $50 for lunch at this bowling alley. Fries, soggy. Hot dogs, how do you screw up a hot dog? I tried the wings based on the review below. Some of them were cooked. There were 6 wing pieces per frozen bag dropped in a deep fry and there are no where near good. I am feeling ill already. The pizza was a frozen, heated pizza served on cardboard and it replicated the flavor it came on. It was not cut all the way through. The basic vibe I got from the staff was "If you dont come here, we dont care". Bowling - 3 young children, one adult - two games each, $42. If this is what you expect, OK. Not quite what I call a cheap afternoon for a family. The balls were sort of hacked up, and had a greasy feel. However, the lanes were clean and in my opinion true. The shoes seemed newer than what I have experienced in other bowling allies. That said, I am not planning on returning.

DO NOT recommend! The bowling alleys are clean, the score system seems little outdated but thats not a big problem. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. We had to go around searching for the right size bowling balls and when we found them the staff told us to take only one since they were running short on the balls. So essentially there were 6 of us trying to bowl with one ball. The manager of the place kept staring at us throughout our game. Really freaked my cousins out. if that was not enough, in middle of our game our alley shut down. We kept resetting the game but nothing happened. The manager stood right next to us and did nothing to help. After 5mins of some sadistic joy he informed us that he shut the alley down purposely because we were "misusing" the alley! It really spoilt our evening. I love the game but definitely not going back to Bowl America in Chantilly again.

I just got off the phone with this place, specifically Debbie, and will not be going here nor recommend it to anyone. There is no pertinent information on the website that is actually helpful so I was forced to call and deal with the unsocial staff. Debbie was very rude, unhelpful and seriously lacking any inkling of customer service. I explicitly questioned if there was a one-time fee for night bowling and was responded to with one of the profound examples of ignorance I ever experienced. Not only the slow pace, but the condescending tone of her response would turn any potential customer away. Based on other recommendations, I would have to agree that management should take action with their staff since business is being lost due to your frontline employees. I will be going to AMF all because of Debbie; recommend you, reader, do the same.

You only get 1 first impression and Bowl America failed mainly on attitude. While our kids were competing in the State Youth Bowling Tournament, our food was initially served unsatisfactorily. The chicken nuggets were near dime sized without meat and the burger was red not pink. The restaurant manger was very rude asking if it wasnt good enough for us. With the prices they charge that was totally unacceptable. I dont mind paying a little more at similar locations but her comments demonstrated her lack of professional skills. I cant believe that was asked when serving kids raw meat. The facility manager did step in and that was appreciated; hopefully he can find a better representative in food services to work with customers.

Impressed!! Great place for birthday parties! Its clean, smoke-free, great customer service. Birthday party packages are affordable, and they do everything for you, just show up with a cake!! We spent less on my sons bowl america party party for his entire class, than the home birthday party we did the year before for half as many kids. There was plenty of space for the kids to be kids, they had a great time, the staff was very helpful, and the bowling alley provided more than I had expected. The kids enjoyed the pizza and ice cream. As far as the other review about the food goes, its a bowling alley, you cant expect but so much from the food, anyway, I thought the pizza tasted fine!

The bowling itself was great. $12 for shoes and a lane was great for the night The lady at the front desk was nice and understood customer service. That is where the good stopped. The old lady at the bar didnt understand a word I said, gave me coke instead of root beer then blamed me for it, asked me why I didnt tip, and took 30 minutes to make a pizza that she said takes 5. The fries were bland, but there is old Bay that you can cover them in and its good. The ball selection was lackluster, as someone with larger fingers and smaller hands, I was very limited and disappointed.

Dear Fai or Fae, Thanks to your horrendous customer service skills, I have decided to never purchase another pitcher of beer from this place. Even though I tipped you, you have decided to set a new low in my customer service experience. On top of that, when you couldnt fill up the pitcher because you were out of Blue Moon, you have decided to make up for it by giving us a glass of cheaper beer. You gave us that glass of beer as if you were doing us a favor. Well, thank you so much for your generosity..

Not sure why the other reviews are bad. I have been bowling in this area for about 30 years, and this is the best house so far. People are great and helpful. the software may be a bit old, but is very user friendly and I havent had anything happen to me. As far as the food, I like the pizza :). Maybe you should try the wings. People come there just to eat them. They are great.

New years eve - wasnt packed at about 10PM which was good but the Caucasian lady at the main desk was extremely rude and acted like she hated her job. Was too worried about shoving her face with food then giving us the correct shoe size we wanted. Definitely do no recommend if shes there again! Horrible service

Really greasy and overpriced bowling. Staff was rude and very intense. Very unclean and the computers used to keep track of the bowling kept breaking. I would highly recommend going to AMF over in centreville if you want a high quality bowling experience.

Nice place to bowl but the food is very expensive. A large fry and medium drink cost me $10. As with all Bowl America centers, you can bowl unlimited games for only $8 from 9pm until they close Sunday through Thursday.

I feel baited... All night bowling is $9.99... you would expect that to come with shoes. Nope. Itll run you around $15 with shoes. I checked the fine print, sure enough shoes were extra. No bowling tonight...

Never go to bowl America because it has bad management, they lie, and the shoe price is very high. It costs to much and the summer blast pass is a fake. Again never go there it sucks
