The castle itself is pretty cool, but its seriously falling apart. So why do I give it 5 stars? The staff. We were made very welcome, and they made conversation the whole time we were there. You can tell they care a great deal about this castle, and I really wish they could receive the funding to restore it to its full potential. While the overall shape of the castle may not be perfect, there are tons and tons of really cool furniture and decorations. The interior of this place is absolutely gorgeous. I especially recommend the art gallery, with lots of natural light and a respectably large statue in the center, this room is definitely something to see. If you want to see a rad castle and support a good cause at the same time, please do consider visiting!

Most interesting experience: We stopped in to take a tour of Castle met the restoration and care taker of the estate Jeff. He invited us into the castle and we were given a virtual tour that was on dvd. As we watched the air began to get very cold, and my dad felt an arm around his shoulder. Its haunted! We were told about the restorations being carried out and the effort going into to saving this great place. The place is beautiful even under reconstruction the labor being put into is immense, but well worth it. Jeff is doing a great job of bringing the place back to its original condition ! A must see while in Vermont so much detail and history. Loved it!

This place is awesome I love everything in it and it is beautiful you should really think about visiting the castle it is very old but still in a really really great shape but still needs a little work that they are fixing at the moment it has beautiful antiques and other stuff people will love there are also events for children and adults

Worth visiting. Contrasting conditons depending on the room; some are almost showroom quality and others have suffered badly from the elements. The local guide was friendly and seemed genuinely interested this piece of history. Hopefully the owner can find the funds needed to save / preserve it for the years ahead.

Wonderful beautiful building, intriguing story and very friendly staff. Definitely worth the visit. Be sure to check out their Halloween events.

It is in need of repair, not really worth the admission. It seems like repairs are happening, but lots of work is needed
