I was pleasantly surprised by this place- its a little bit of an escape in the middle of the chaos that is Houston. Theres a nice dirt road that we walked our dogs along for a while until we came to the river, which has a large sandy beach for the dogs to play on. Someone was jogging while we were there and I imagine its a great place to go jogging- lots of shade with the trees and no traffic to deal with.

Theres a very nice mile and a half loop trail with side trails that go by the small lake, a wetlands area, etc. There are lots of roots on the trail (expected for this area) and it is well sanded at spots. There are no restrooms and only a few spots with seating. Trail is shady. There are a few plant identification signs but they need new covers, so can be hard to read.

This place is very quiet and great place to take a walk or train for long hiked. Lots of nature and wildlife. Love to take a break on the creek and relax.

Not a huge area, but lots of little trails, looks like they are renovating a few areas. I love visiting places like this, and I recommend you do the same

Very beautiful. Morning walks or afternoon adventures are great here, before the heat gets ya. Its a small area, but a lot of good side trails.

It was nice walking along the creek. The trail was made of gravel and other parts were dirt and sand. Easy walk with kids. We will go again.

This is a great place for the kids stretch their legs. Cabin fever remedy for sure! Beautiful trails with fields located next Spring Creek.

I love this perserve because you can swim on it. The sand was soft and the place is full of serenity and wildlife.
