This place is so awesome, im reluctant to rate it for fear everyone finds it. Literally a beautiful oasis of small ponds, and a nice hour or so of marked trails covered by thick tree and vine canopies. Great for kids, not too technical, and 90% shaded. Theres a really nice restroom located in the main cabin (accesible via an outside door), although im not sure if its open all the time. This little gem is definitely worth a few hours of exploration, but show it the love and respect it deserves, please!

Nice shady area to walk and see nature. We saw a rabbit and some lizards. Unfortunately, it looks like some people come here and leave their trash on the trails. I saw kids snack wrappers, water bottles, and tissues scattered about. By no means was it trashy, but a few pieces really spoil the atmosphere. They could use some help from high schoolers that get sentenced with community service for a curfew violation for leaving school and going to Wendys for lunch.

Had a great time walking around with my one and half year old. She was able to navigate walking around mostly by herself but I did help in the areas with uneven ground or tree branches. Also, I discovered today that they have a restroom which was surprisingly very clean! It is on the side of the cabin. I highly recommend visiting.

Peaceful, well-maintained, excellent spot for a short hike through the woods. Crushed granite and boardwalk trail good for joggers and jogging strollers. Creek has a very shallow spot perfect for kids to try and catch minnows and crayfish. Bring a little net and wading shoes! We had a lovely time exploring here!!

Amazing hidden gem..go back in time to the woods of Houston as they were in 1920..but with marked trails and boarded walkways.. winding through canopies under green mansions.. And beautiful bridges over the bayou. .

I love that this nature preserve exists in the middle of Houston. They have several well maintained trails, ample parking, and great nature programs for kids.

Great quiet, well maintained, park for hiking and bird watching. There is a cabin with nature education, but was closed on Sunday when we visited.

I saw a water snake! There was almost no litter and there is a path that lets you get on stepping stones. It is a core memory
