Great new park! **Still developing** Main entrance on Chasewood Drive by Highway 249 near St Lukes hospital. Another entrance and parking on Cypresswood. Even in hot humid summer weather the trees surrounding the paved walk trail provide enough shade and sometimes a nice breeze. There are people walking jogging and cycling; dirt nature trails and more platforms over the water being built; kayaks, small boats and fishing allowed. Strict pet clean up (bags provided if you forget). Restroom building at the main parking lot. Sand volleyball. Several parking areas. Crossing my fingers for a future splash area for kids to cool off! It is 1.7 miles all around from the starting point by Restrooms (prob about an hour of a casual walk). To casually walk a shorter distance you could start from the Restrooms to the silver bridge that is connected to the Cypresswood drive entrance and back. Most of that area is shaded too!

Beautiful brand new park that had a grand opening on April 1st. 2017. Perfect for catch and release fishing, biking around the perfectly built trail that goes around the lake. Kayak and Canoes are permitted on the lake (There is a section on the main parking lot for launching the kayak). Clean bathrooms, lots of trees (nice shade along the trail). There is a man that works there who is very friendly with everyone. The park is clean with lots of parking spaces. The only thing I didnt see was grilling pits like some other parks but its not a big deal.

Very nice green space with a very large lake. Lots of fishing, kayak/canoe friendly, and a handful of picnic tables. There is a 1.8 mile trail around the lake, and it appears there will be a connection to another park soon. Lots of parking, bathrooms, volleyball, and more. I wish there were more picnic tables , and if you have kids there is a lack of playground equipment which can make that a challenge. If you like to fish or canoe/kayak then this is your place. Overall I like it, and will return.

Loved the place. Nice wide paved trail that is 1.7 miles goes around the lake. Three lake is kayak friendly and there were many anglers trying their luck. We saw an alligator on the creek that borders the park. The warden there said there are several large gators, so bee careful with young children around three lake or creek. I saw several people fishing from shore, but I did not see anyone catch anything. No playground. There are nice bathroom facilities. Get outside and enjoy

The park is beautiful. Great place for fishing and running/biking. Lots of trees around the lake but the natural vegetation on the trail bordering the lake is very scenic and makes the hunt for the prefect fishing spot fun. There is a boat ramp to launch kayaks. The times Ive been there were 6-10 kayaks on the water. Seems to be the way to go because they get access to the back side of the big Island in the lake. Bass, bluegill, and crappie confirmed.

Nice hidden gem. Went running through the park along the lake which has a nice restroom facility with water fountains. I didnt see where the path connects to the backside of the lake though where the restrooms were so just ran an out and back. Would be interested to see a map of the path and the distance sometime in the future as it still looks very new.

Love this park. I go running here everyday with my baby. After rain, its gives a really fresh feeling because of the trees. People say there ar no grills but ive seen one or two. And a few complain that they need a play ground... There are 50 other parks around this area for kids... Let the kids enjoy nature. Fishing, bike riding, canoeing, you name it

Nice place for a peaceful walk around the lake. Some have commented about the lack of BBQ grills and other such amenities. There are many parks in the county with these features. As this is a preserve, not a park, I hope the county keeps it this way. Now, if only people could learn to pick up after their dogs.

Im new to the area and fell in love with this park. Nice sitting areas, clean restrooms, volleyball net, catch and release lake and its quiet, despite the fact its close to a freeway. If you want to go walking/jogging it has a nice scenic trail about 1.7 miles long.

Nice paved path around the lake. It has some shady spot along the way. Clean restrooms and showers. Love the sand volleyball. Only downfall is there are no grills and not sure if you are allowed to bring your own. I walked the entire path and it is about 1.8 miles.

Nice park that Ive been waiting on. Time to buy a Kayak. No playground for kids though, but there is still fun to be had here. Word is that the Kids playground is coming by the open space on Cutten and Cypresswood.

I am beyond thrilled that we have such a beautiful trail for biking so close to where I live! Nature should be preserved and I could just hug whosever idea this was. Thank you, Harris County, Precinct 4!

There are 2-3 parking areas and there is a paved path all the way around the lake which is good for walking, running or biking. There is also a gravel boat ramp for kayaks. A nice park.

The park is so beautiful. The 1.7 mile trail is awesome. There are fishing piers for the catch and release preserve. There are clean restrooms and showers.
