This was not my first trip here. However it was my first trip here in a long time. The festivities have grown as well as the prices. The cavern tour has degraded greatly. Some of the youngsters/employees seemed fascinated about their job while others was like oh its just a job. My experience to Natural bridge caverns this trip felt like I was getting screwed. It felt like "give me your money take a look and get the hell out." When we got there we had just finished a 4 hour road trip. Got our tickets while the line was short. 2:24pm and our tour scheduled on the ticket was at 2:29pm. Like really what the hell the tickets is literally the first thing you come to when you enter the door. I had 2 kids that needed to go potty and wanted something to drink. Heaven forbid if they was hungry or I was diabetic. So we rush to the potty so we can make the tour. By the time we get to the tour area our tour had done left. So we wait around a few min to see whats going on. One tour group was called and no one even lined up. A few min later another tour color and time was called and like every one lines up. ( very large group) I asked a girl there about the tour and she seen it was just the three of us and said go ahead with this tour and if any one asks tell them she said it was OK. Sure enough right before we entered the cavern they was taking tickets. The guy was like well x x x x x. I explained what happened and that the girl "??????" Up top Said it was OK. The first stop inside the caverns was the only place we got to hear any of the tour guides speak. The tour group was so large all of us wouldnt fit inside one room at the same time except the last room. But the first room heck we was in the walk way up by the door way that entered the cavern. Then your trying to read any signage or take pictures and we had this guy (employee) behind us telling us to catch up to the group he doesnt want us to get behind. "Dude the last person in the group is 10 feet away." The caverns was awesome and beautiful but seriously lacks a true tour and true tour guide. After the tour when you come out of the cavern tunnel there is a place where you can buy a drink water Gatorade etc but cash only. But about 3/4 the way back to the center theres a spot where you can purchase the picture they took of you inside the caverns. Now how is it they can transfer data from there to there but in the middle where theyre selling drinks they cant transfer data to run a debit/credit card. Ya so basicly I feel like it was a give me your money get in and get out type deal. Now after that every thing was good and basicly at your pace. Which who wouldnt want ya to hang around and spend more money on festivities food keep sakes etc. FYI $12 for a single picture is a bit expensive. The food and gifts was a bit pricey as well but its to be expected since who ever has tried to make this a theme park.

The staff was great despite how chaotic it can seem inside the stores and on the tour! It does get very humid within the caves so dress accordingly and bring water. Its a great place to bring your kids. They have a maze attraction, zip line, and an interesting climbing/balance course there for them to play in. Food is available inside at the usual prices you would find at attractions like this. My girlfriend and I did the discovery course. Knowing that there will be many families and children, the tours do tend to move slowly because of people in the front of the line who pause to take pictures. Im not against taking pictures and making memories like that, but some people hold up the lines where the novelty of being in the cave wears off quickly. Because of the humidity and we are standing still in the tour, it gets hot and some folks become, understandably, a bit irritable. If you are one of those that love to take pictures, all the power to you! Just try to remain near the back of the line so no one would be held up. Her and I enjoyed the tour tremendously and we like to keep a quick pace. We ended up passing 2 other tour groups that were in front of us and we still were satisfied with it all. I dont feel the tickets were worth $20-ish a person, but I understand they have to keep up with maintenance and care for the natural cave. The tour guides are knowledgeable about the cave and its history. Some tour guides within the cave you can easily tell their ready for their shift to be over with the mundane tone in their voice. It was quite funny because I can understand how that feels. All in all, a great place that we would visit again. Wear the proper shoes and BE PREPARED to walk. We are both relatively fit people, but after nearing a mile of walking at the end of the tour, we were held up behind a lot of tired folks. Check this place out!

My experience in the cave was pretty lackluster, however, it was due to one factor. It wasnt the cave itself. The cave is awesome, but I know absolutely nothing about the cave thanks to our tour guide, Daniel. Daniel started out as a promising young individual who had revealed he had been at natural bridge for a month. It was quickly and painfully obvious that he knew nothing about the cave. Nope, our tour consisted of lots of stops where Daniel had us stand around in silence so we didnt run in to the next group. When he did say something about the cave, his speech was full of "um", forgetfulness, and the occasional curse under his breath upon forgetting something. It was tough to listen to. He even told us once that in order to exit the cave at the time he was expected, we would have to wait in a room. This time, again, was in silence. The fudge is great though. Dont get Bills Lemonade, thats a rip off. I live close to the place. I know it was one tour of the day and I know a lot of young people work there. Each person is going to bring different personalities to the tours. Usually they are awesome. The property is beautiful. There is more to do than walk caves. Go check it out. Just dont go down with Daniel. Daniel if you read this, please go on more tours with other people and learn more about the cave. Practice saying the facts. Its a valuable life skill.

I drove an hour-and-a-half to visit this place with my grandchildren and daughter-in-law, who had driven from San Antonio to meet me here. I ran into a traffic situation on tbe way and was "6 mins late", according to the 5 staff members sitting behind the counter visiting with each other, and they "couldnt" sell me a ticket....their computer would not allow it. I explained my situation, and they just shrugged and said sorry. My family was already on the tour due to need to leave by a certain time. We texted and I learned they were just on the bridge...not even in the cave yet. I went back and tried to find a solution to buying a ticket....ie: put under next tour, etc. There were certainly enough people to have one escort me to the group and maintain their "safety" issues. They were not interested in helping, and didnt even bother to stand up to discuss. This place was not busy at all. They had an abundance of staff sitting around....yet, they couldnt be bothered to try to create a positive customer experience. The ticket prices are way over-priced to start with....which explains how they can afford to have large numbers of staff sitting and doing nothing.....and then to experience such poor customer service is inexcusable. ******************** Thank you Erin for your response. The grounds are well-kept and my grandchildren had a great time! Ive upped the rating.
