Space the final frontier, right? WRONG!!! Alamo golf club is the final frontier! With its vast terrains and rolling hills Alamo is the finest of Central Texas golf experiences. The Par 67 18 hole course is the best the Alamo city (if not the world). One could easily find himself wanting to play the magnificent course 3, 4, or even 5 times a week. If 18 hole golf is not your thing, take a few swings on the state of the art bi-level driving range. When you are done you can stop into the pro shop and enjoy one of many refreshing craft beverages. If you are a tee-totaler or a southern baptist, NO PROBLEM! Alamo has a wide array of non alcoholic beverages as well including tea, soda Gatorade, and fine black coffee that is brewed fresh daily. With all of these accommodations Alamo is fun for the whole family. It is a great spot for retirement parties, corporate team building events, weddings, funerals, quincenerras, barmitzfas, and MUCH MUCH MORE! Alamo also hosts a public tournament every Tuesday where you can win store credit and also CASH MONEY$$$$$. With all of these perks no one should ever miss an opportunity to come here. And frankly I dont care if youve been to space if you havent been to Alamo golf club you havent lived.

I play at this course all the time and Ive noticed significant improvements over the past year. That being said, the course has terrible fairways that are just mostly rocks on barren soil. The driving range is top notch. One thing that really irks me, however, is the cost. Its not a $30 course, for sure. And it makes no sense that you can book online for cheaper. If me and a friend play 18 holes, then want to play another 18, I cant get a discounted rate even if the course is dead with no one playing. But, if I go online, I can book a new tee time cheaper. Makes no sense. Plus, no twilight rates, and no membership that Im aware of. Overall, its improving but things could get much better.

Went on 4/17/15 and it was my first time golfing in 7 years so I purposely stayed away from going to a nice course. This course was the worst course Ive ever played in my life. It was so bad that all but 2 or 3 holes didnt even have a fairway! Instead it was mostly just dirt and rocks. To prevent damaging my clubs I had to constantly pick up my ball and find a big patch of clovers or weeds. Putting on the greens is like taking your ball off-roading and youll have to constantly clean your putter like you chipped with it. I cant believe they charge so much for this course, it should be like $5 at most.

This course was horrible to play and the distances on the signs for each hole seemed off by a few yards. The green was atrocious as well which ruined the many par 3s on the back 9. In the courses defense, however, I was fairly drunk (only drove a golf cart and ball that day) and they had a friendly staff. Except for the greens keeper who picked up a flag on 17 before my group had a chance to play it. It was probably for the best though since no hole even had a fairway that was distinguishable from the rest of the rocks.

Complete waste of money to play this course. NO fairways and greens poorly maintained. There seems to be very little effort to maintain the course and content to let it die. 29 bucks with a cart, they should be embarrassed to ask people to pay this amount for such an experience. Range is nice, but I would recommend other places because of how they have allowed their course to die. Others have not allowed the drought to be an excuse.

Worse course Ive ever played. The fairways are all rock and dirt. The greens may have been decent at one time but are horribly maintained. Its not even worth the cheap price and if you have a decent set of clubs then forget it. Youll cause more damage than its worth. The only plus to this place is the driving range which is pretty decent. Pay the little extra to find a decent course. They should be embarrassed.

Not the best course. Course is in fairly awful condition, but the people are nice and it has 18 holes. Definitely cant complain about the rates. Also relaxed about the tee times, which I like. I get tired of marshals that act like Im at Augusta (especially if the course isnt pristine. Bonus: lighted driving range and some decently tough holes. Pro shop also seemed nice than most in SA.

Do not let the three stars or so fool you. I think that is because of a large practice facility. It is the worst course I have ever played, and I live in West Texas, where hardpan is the norm. Dirt and rocks are the fairway in at least 50% of the area. You will ruin your clubs here. Best thing was a guy selling lost balls from across a chain link fence.

This course reminds me of Kasungu Farmers Club in Malawi. Actually there were fewer rocks and stones in Kasungu. $27 for 18 holes is overpriced for what is a poor excuse for a golf course. The fairways are extremely rocky and devoid of grass. The fringes have an assortment of vegetation. Once was enough. I cannot recommend the course in its present state.

This course is a very fair price for the course. Tee to green has some "iffy" spots, but the greens are overall good. I enjoy coming to this course to practice. It is a very short course, but you will still find yourself hitting many different shots because of all the Par 3s. If you have never been to Alamo Golf Club, I would recommend it.

If you want to play on this course, go find a field littered with lots and lots of rocks, very little grass, and rock hard dirt. After you find that field mow the grass down really short and dig 18 holes throughout it. Good service though. The only reason I will return is to hit range balls because it is really close to my house

Terrible. The driving range was fine. It looked like it was an okay facility to practice on. The course...not so much. I was sitting in the fairway on many holes and I was hitting off dirt and rocks. Seriously? In the fairway? I will not be visiting this course again unless I want to hit some balls on the range.

This is where it all began for me, coming out and learning the game years ago, on a budget. Great friendly staff greets you with a smile every time and the prices on food and beverages are the best around. Course is in best shape of its history. Make Alamo your first stop to becoming the best golfer you can be, I did!
