The course was in decent shape but THE OFFICE STAFF WAS RUDE. I grew up on the course and thought it would be neat to go back and see what everything looked like. I told the person working the pro shop I was a life time member and he rudely stated there is no way and that he would pull the paper work and prove it to me. (I know what the contract said and did not need anything proved to me.) The play was slow (teed off at 9:30 and made the turn at noon.) When my group was paying for our water at the turn, another person behind the counter said to someone on the walkie talkie, "keep an eye on the group on hole 11, they are the black guys." It was alarming because I dont think said person would have said "the white guys," it would have just been the group on 11. What really irritated me was the fact I left my key to my car in the golf cart. I called after I had gotten back to a friends house an hour away before I realized it and called to see if it was found. When it was found, I asked if it could be mailed to me because I did not live close, and the guy told me, *******"WE DONT HAVE THE STAFF TO MAIL YOU ANYTHING" & AND HUNG UP ON ME. I suppose they believe I have already paid and played so there is no use in being polite, but as a person that grew up on the course and have very fond memories of the course, I WILL NOT BE BACK......EVER. I am so disappointed in the owner (read the letter to the under contact information, it is nothing more than the guy trying to sell e-cigs) to the office staff that I hope the course goes under. ***I was disappointed the pool had been filled in and the tennis courts looked like garbage. The ownership group should be ashamed of themselves.....******

I played here on a Monday afternoon on a beautiful day in April. I imagine that this course used to be an exclusive country club 15-20 years ago. This was originally a country club, but recently a new investment group purchased the course and made it a semi-public course. The pro-shop and facilities are somewhat rundown, along with the overall course conditions. However, the course features a fantastic layout that features water on almost every hole along with a par 3 island. The greens were in pretty good shape, but the fairways and tee box areas definitely need some work. I hope the new owners are willing to put some money into this course, because it has great potential. Overall, this place does provide a pretty goof value for your money. I paid about $20 to play, so I didnt expect the greens and course to be in immaculate condition. This certainly isnt a place where I would go out of my way to play here, but if Im near the course and the price is right I would play here again.

This course is equivalent to a goat farm. They may as well let farm animals out to groom the fairways and rough. The greens are hal St Augustine and haf weeds and appear to be flattened by a steamroller. If green fee + cart were around $15 then it would be a decent playable course. Do not go there with any other intention aside from working on hitting straight drives off the tee-box. Then again, you could just hit up the driving range and get the same effect. DO NOT pay full price, which is over $40!!!! I was there with my daughter and only completed 5 holes. Did they offer a voucher for free cart rental, a free bucket of range balls, half of a green fee? NO, they offered nothing!!!! It will not be long before this is another closed golf property and wasted real estate. Sadly, it was a beautiful course.

I have played this course many times, and thoroughly enjoy each round. The course is well kept and the pace is typically pretty good. However, after today, I love this course. I woke up for a 9am tee time and arrived 20 minutes early to the course. Upon arrival, I knew something in my body wasnt right. I began to vomit, and feel very light headed right before hole 1. After hole two, I wasnt going to be able to make it. I made my way to the Clubhouse and went in and explained my situation. The man working the course(Ill make sure to get his name next time) gladly gave me a rain check for whenever I please. By no means was this warranted but I was extremely thankful. I know I will return as soon as I feel better and thank them for their top notch customer service.

Los Rios is a budget course in decent shape considering its March and its a city course. The layout isnt too challenging and the greens are very easy. My biggest problem was the pace of play. We were playing a 5some and still were waiting due to no marshal on the course to speed up the 3some ahead of us that kept leaving clubs on the greens. They also didnt have a cart girl. If youre considering playing Los Rios, skip it and just play Pecan Hollow right down the road. (same price, much better shape, better facilities, always has a cart girl) If youre just tired of playing the same courses, give Los Rios a shot, just so you can say youve played it, but dont except much. (although it wont cost you much either)

My husband and I just celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary at Los Rios. I cant say everything was perfect. But overall my husband and I were very happy. Our guest are still talking about how beautiful and well organized everything was. Meagan Wilbanks the event coordinator, did an excellent job of making sure that our needs were met. The owner Mr. Addicks went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our special day. I would absolutely recommend Los Rios for weddings or any type of formal event. Thanks again for making our day so special.

Likely will not return here. Course looks good from the road but is in poor shape once you get out on it. Fluffy fairways and dead spots on the greens, which are hard as concrete and will not hold a shot. Surprising, given all the recent rain. The greens DO roll smoothly, you just cant hope for a shot to hold. Further, there are no yardage markers anywhere on sprinkler heads, almost no 150-yard poles (there may have been a total of two). I can think of far better golf courses for the price...Pecan Hollow right across the street, for example.

We had our daughters wedding here last weekend. Awesome, Awesome experience! The owner, Lyle and the Event Planner, Paula Davis were unbelievable! They both went out of their way to accommodate us in every way possible. The food was awesome, the service from all employees outstanding. I can not say enough about this wedding venue. They truly blessed our life. We left this experience feeling so thankful and like part of the Los Rios Family. Thank you Lyle and Paula for all the hard work and generosity you both extended to our family.

The owner has shut down the bar, restaurant, pools and the airconditioning to the building. He is waiting for someone to sell it to....and has no respect for the members that are "lifetime" members. All that is left is a golf course. Even the workout room has no air conditioning. the owner only cares about himself and is a nut job. Doesnt care if the golfers dont have a place to relax with cold drinks after a game. He should be ashamed and embarrassed of his decisions as a business man.
