We didnt join until June - and we do get to play during the week because we are retired. Wonderful Seniors group that plays on Tuesdays. Huge turnouts!! Ladies Thursday group is so much fun. For a public course best kept Ive ever seen. Of course the huge rain hurt all the courses, mostly traps. Several of the tees have been re-sodded past week or so. But they are feverishly working on them now. Pro shop employees super nice. Best deal around. And we drive a LONG way to play there.

Would have to disagree with not expensive comment. $49 with a cart?? The tee boxes were in bad shape, the greens had been aerated at least a few weeks before and still needed sand. Quite a few brown spots on green. Fairways were very thin. The course has a good layout but for spring golf the course should have been in better shape. I understand they had 2 bouts with snow and freezing...should have discounted for the conditions. I would have to say, will not play here again.

These courses would get 5 stars if they were just a little more meticulously maintained. Having said that - GREAT VALUE!! Very well maintained, great variety of courses and hole designs challenging for both experienced and inexperienced alike. The staff is just great friendly, helpful and courteous. Not overly crowded, and easy to get to. Not the best the Metroplex has to offer, but a very very nice public course.

I had to play the "Old Course" because The Lakes was closed. I get that this course is the worst out of the 3 courses at Firewheel, BUT to charge $29 on a Wednesday afternoon is absurd ESPECIALLY with what shape the course was in. It was absolutely horrible. They should charge $10 to play that thing. Highly disappointed. I left after 9 holes it was so bad. I never post on Google reviews, but this was bad.

The cancelled their range card discount program, this really hacked me big time. The fairways on the Lakes and Old course are too tightly mowed. In the winter their is there is no cushion of grass at all and in the summer the ground can be hard as concrete. A great place if your a picker, but if you like to make divots, expect a wrist injury.

This course is in beautiful shape right now. Fairways and tee boxes are great. Only gripe right now, and its not really the staffs fault, is that no one fixes their ball marks. Otherwise the greens are in great shape. I play 4-5 a week all over dfw and this course is by far the best value and experience out there!

3 different style courses for your game.. old course is steady the greens roll true, the Lakes..I feel the harder of the courses..great course to challenge game, and the Bridges there signature 3 -9hole course..the Masters the hardest, Champion is the easier and the Tradition is in between...

I am writing this review as I sit here 20 minutes behind when I was supposed to tee off because the tee time was over sold. Dont sell it if its not available the whole reason for buying a tee time at the crack of dawn is to get in and get out and beat the Texas heat.

Wow, Old course was is bad shape with fairways not mowed, very poor fairway grass and lots of muddy places as well as greens - especially 18, with no grass at all on corners of green. Not worth price of $26 + cart.

Played all 3 courses this year and all in reasonably good shape considering the weather weve had. Each one is a unique challenge. Ive played there for years and never been disappointed.

Decent course for the money. The only downside we had while playing is they ran out of carts and couldnt get us one until 2 minutes prior to teeing off.

Great courses here. Easy to play 27-36 holes with easy transition from on course to another. Will for sure be back to play many more rounds here.
