So I called to scheduled to come for a tour after my mom told me to check it out since several of her costumers told her about this place. Spoke to a gentleman and asked me to come at 9 am. I live in Garland and drove 35-40 minutes. I will say this the place is gorgeous and everything I would have liked in my wedding. I introduce myself and tell him my name and I guess he confused me with someone else until he realized oh your (name). I told him my date is in October and tells me their are no available dates in October or November. My wedding is fall themed so December would have not worked at all for me. I told him why did he not tell me this before hand after driving so long and far. He didnt seem to care and told him I am very disappointed. Still was kind of whatever about it. They also scheduled multiple people to come for tours at the same time which I found odd. I know several people that are also engaged and have been telling them to check venues out at the ones Iv been going to. I will definitely tell them not to waste their time here. So thanks for wasting my time, gas, and sleep.

The park and facilities all seemed great but I couldnt get past the rude woman who answered the phone. I had a few simple questions before making the long drive to the park but she was obviously too important to deal with any Q&A. Shame

Visited during Vintage McKinney Days...parking was a little chaotic, but the booths were nice and the building was big enough that we did not feel crowded even though there was a ton of people there.

Whether you camp (excellent fire rings, benches, and a new pavillion) or just stop by to watch an ag competition (buy lunch!) youll have a great time.
