My husband and I especially enjoy going to concerts at the Cactus. It is a converted old Theater that allows for an intimate experience with the band. Its historic charm more than makes up for the limitations of it being a smaller and older venue. Don Caldwell deserves Kudos for scheduling superb shows that showcase the creative talents of South Plains musicians. They offer a good selection of refreshments at the bar, including popcorn, beer, wine and spirits. It was a genuine pleasure to find such a true gem in the heart of the Hub city. Some of the best restaurants in town, as well as local wineries and the Buddy Holly Museum are located nearby. So next time you are in Lubbock, plan an exciting, fun filled day around your visit to the Cactus Theater.

I stopped in briefly during First Friday Art Trail. The lady at the front gave us a very sincere HI and Come On In. We entered the theatre and met the new owners who were friendly and excited to announce artwork/murals on display. I have not been here for a concert yet but look forward to going. We also got free popcorn which won my daughter over...she LOVES popcorn!

Has always been a five star.We went on May 5 to see Asleep At The Wheel and what a show. The owner is great and accommodating. We are loyal patrons and try to go whenever we can. We even went there over Easter to see the classic old movie Ben Hur.....great idea. Put Cactus Theater on your calender and buy tickets in advance !

Not the same anymore. Was once a 5 star attraction and used to go 2-3 "times a month. Not much for the shows that are being scheduled loved the local musicians. Have not been there since last Journey show and will probably not be going for a while. It was fun while it lasted.

This is a unique theater. Nothing else like it around here. Very good experience. The seating is a bit tight, but theres nothing that can be done about that. We will be back.

It is a decent show drinks are great the theatre is a little run down as far as the seating goes but all in all a good place to chill for the night

Such an intimate venue- lovely historic building - I cant wait to return for more concerts in the future. Their margaritas arent bad, either!
