There are many better places to play 9 holes of golf in the Dallas area. I had a particularly bad experience here. They opened nearly 20 minutes late and one individual off of their staff was incredibly rude. The larger gentleman who worked there was incredibly rude in how he asked us to speed up play, which was interesting considering that we were not holding up play at all. We were the second foursome to start, and finished the 9 holes in approximately 1:45 (a foursome walking), and when I offered that people could play through, the staff member said there was no point because we were holding up the entire course. A few minutes later, once we rounded the corner to the 8th tee, we could see multiple empty holes behind us. When I went in to express my displeasure as we were leaving, this large gentleman from the staff asked if I "felt better" after complaining. Obviously they have no interest in any sort of customer service here. Aside from that, the tee boxes and greens are poorly maintained, they didnt bother to cut any holes in the practice green so you can practice your putting, and it is generally a poor course. The only redemption for this course is the older gentleman who was working behind the counter who was very nice to deal with prior to us starting play.

Nice course especially for beginners or people like me who have been out of the game for awhile. Hard to lose a ball. But a handful of holes will take your ball if you dont hit it right. Greens were not as good on Jun 23 as they normally are. Lots of brown patches. But I have played and will continue to play this course at least once a week. It is crowded at times due to the cheap rate. But I have been to several courses with more expensive rates and was disappointed when compared to lake park. One course charged 20 more and did t even have GPS in the cart. Also I dont understand how the CITY speed limit has anything to do with the course review. And FYI the speed drops from 40 to 20 at the 4 way stop due to the ball fields in the left which means you font go from 40 to 20 you are going 0 to 20 because of the stop sign. Why is it everyone elses fault but your own for not paying attention to the signs.

Way too crowded on weekday afternoons for such a compact course. Everything is too close together so keep a heads up for balls coming at you at all times. Cut my first and only visit short because of long wait times on each hole, poor course maintenance, tired of dodging balls, etc. Pro shop was decent but had an awful smell to it. Granted its was a $15 round but save your money and go to a decent course. Will not be going back.

Nice little course. I have a birthday tradition that dictates that I play a round of golf by myself. A self impossed self-reflection aided by golf. I liked my experience here at Lake Park. The greens were responsive and fair. The layout was not overwhelming (especially for a weekend hacker). Staff was well mannered. Ill definately play this course again.

This is ordinarily a fairly easy course with little rough & few bunkers, but we played it on 1/15/15. The wife of the person placing the pins on this day must have done something that caused him to place the pins in very difficult locations. I average 32 putts on this course but yesterday I took 41. Still my score was not horrible.

Friendly staff and welcoming to all skill levels, lighted driving range (open to 10pm 6 days a week), course is well maintained especially for the cheaper green fee. Also great to play the par 3 course across the street if you cant get a tee time for the big course.

The greens and fairways were in really good shape. The carts have GPS for yardage, which is really helpful since I dont have a rangefinder. The course is undemanding, which suits my game perfectly! And you cant beat the price. I think its a great value.

Very good course for the beginner to intermediate golfer. We were rained out after completing only 4 holes. Management gave me and my buddy rain checks to come back and finish up anytime. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced as well.

Poor quality course, overcrowded due to cheap rate. Also, beware of speed trap . Speed drops from 40 miles to 20 miles. And cops are ready to give you ticket. City makes up with ticket on cheap green fee. Will never go there again.
