Yesterday was my first time at Timber Creek in nearly a year and what a HUGE disappointment. So much has changed and none of it for the better. First asked for some tees and was told they didnt have wooden tees anymore so I had to spend $10 for plastic ones. Next I said hello to some guy moving carts around and he just gave me a go to hell kind of look. After teeing off on the first hole and moving to the ball I noticed there was no GPS on my cart. I turned around to get a cart with GPS and was told they removed them all. Had I known that before I got there I would have brought something for my yardage. Next thing we noticed was the dilapidated condition of the bridges. The boards on the bridges seem to be very loose and dangerous with some holes as well. On some someone nailed a 1"x 4" board trying to hold them in place. The next thing was the greens. Ive never seen the greens this bad here or just about anywhere for that matter. There were a lot of brown spots and holes so large I could stick my finger in them on some. So I got all that for a $49 green fee and a bag of $10 plastic tees. It will never happen again. Its sad to see that Timber Creek has gone down hill like this. It use to be one of my favorite courses on this side of Houston. I guess its time to find another one that appreciates my money and cares about there players and the course.

I cant say much about the course itself, never played it. The driving range looks ok. Be sure to bring your range bag, there are no bag stands available for use. The reason for the 1 star review is due to an experience with one of the courses "golf pros", Matt Scadden. Matt is horrible at responding to emails, messages, texts and phone calls. After nearly a week of slow correspondence and threatening to find another instructor, we were able to set a date and time for 1 hour lessons each for my daughter and I. One hour before we were to meet on the day of lessons, Matt texted me and canceled our lessons due to personal reasons which in my opinion should have been known to him much sooner than one hour prior to our scheduled time and could have been scheduled around. Very unprofessional and hard for me to imagine how you can run a successful business like this. We will be looking for a different instructor at another golf course. Side note - it seems this is standard operating procedure for most instructors in the Clear Lake / Galveston Co. area. It appears once you become a PGA certified golf "pro" your communication and scheduling skills become nonexistent...must be a prerequisite for teaching golf.

First time golfer here. I took the advice of the club pro and played late in the day, when normally the course is pretty empty. Ive played only 2 other rounds at San Jac Central golf course. This place is nirvana when it comes to golf. The staff was great and scheduling a tee time was no problem. The course Marshall was incredibly helpful explaining what everything was and what to do. The fairways were immaculate except for a few unfilled divots. The tee-boxes and greens were top notch. This course is a hidden gem in the Friendswood/Clear Lake area. I went with another golfer and took my non-golfing mother along to see the course. She could not play due to medical problems but they were nice enough to waive the cart fee for her. For $70 during the weekday for 3 people, 2 carts, green fees and a few drinks its a freaking bargain for what you get. My only complaint was that the snack-cart did not come by as it shuts down early, however there is ice cold drinking water next to every other tee-box. I will be playing here for the considerable future.

I dont where the other reviewers played but this course is overpriced, overhyped and not that well kept. Players get loud on the course and seem to rudely talk a lot while your on the range trying to concentrate. Sometimes 20 to 30 high schoolers will show up and disrupt any chance of a peaceful golf outing. I keep trying to give the course a shot but they keep losing. Either they overbook or the Marshall is lazy or the pairings are bad but the wait times can be very long between shots. They paired me and my buddy with us riding, one walker and a woman with her husband who did not play but talked the entire time. That round was slow and tedious ! All in all I dont like the course and more than likely will never go back.

It had stormed the night before, and it was still in great shape considering. The greens are nice, not a 10/10, but nice. I normally shoot 91-92, and I shot 88 today (par 71 course). I had a great time, and will be back for sure. Note: They use a HORRIBLE sand that will jack up your clubs (IMO). I didnt hit out, due to pools in the traps, because of the storm from the night before. I would absolutely want them to change this feature. Made me give 4 stars and not 5. Still a beautiful course.

I was trying to squeeze in a round of golf while on spring break visiting NASA, etc. down here. I arrived early, as a single, no tee time. The pro was very accommodating and got me out very quickly. The two 9s I played were very enjoyable. A couple of surprise water hazards and a couple of spots I would have avoided if I had played before were the only negatives I would mention. I would definitely recommend this course.

I was down from Dallas visiting my girlfriend and walked on as a single mid Friday morning. Greens were in great shape. Fairways are nice to look at from the tee box. I dont know what I was thinking leaving my collared short at home, but I bought a pretty nice Timber Creek shirt for only 30 bucks. I got paired with 2 pretty good guys, and we had so much fun we decided to tack on another 9 to play all 27 holes. Good times

Arguably the best overall public course in the Clear Lake Area. Only if they could keep the greens in a bit better condition. Bunkers are fine gravel sand but consistent throughout entire course. Course has 3 9s for 27 holes.

The fairways and rough were in great shape. The greens though, not so good. Most had dirt spots or weeds. The golf course has a lot of potential but is not worth the price because of the greens in my opinion.

Course is nice and well kept. All in all a great place to play. Its a 27 hole layout. Pines and trails and the easier layout. I recommend playing creekside if you want a challange and enjoy beautiful scenery.

Great 27 hole layout. Three distinct courses that offer different challenges. Attentive staff and service. Excellent 19th hole restaurant and bar to enjoy one after a round.

This course is very well manecured, the price is great if you play in the week. This definitely a course to come back to.

Good practice facility , needs a bunker practice area added . Challenging , but can be pricey !
