This is a very good course for beginners and novice golfers. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the employees friendly and helpful. This is an older golf course so it is not in tip top shape by any means but it is just fine for practicing your drives, mid and short game. We enjoy playing here because it is not overly busy so we are not stressed about keeping pace as we are on more packed or busy courses. I encourage any and all beginners and novice golfers to try it out. It is a fun and stress free way to improve your golf on real course conditions.

I played there this Saturday 4-1-17 horrible ..I had played there twice before over the last two years or so but wont do it again...the guy complained that I had purchased an online tee time with a mere $2 discount... believe me at $23 it was about $25 overpriced...all I could think beside how rude they were...was I might have reminded me of the old courses in Scotland in the 1800s when the livestock kept their grass down.... I guess that the goats were on strike !!

Not too bad if you are relatively new to the game or with a group of beginners since no one will be behind you pressing to play faster. Its off the beaten path and may have seen better days, But if you go into it with an open mind, a high handicap, and some good friends looking to have fun and solitude then texaco isnt a bad choice especially for the price!

Great for beginners and casual players. Super affordable and conveniently located. Jerk-wads not allowed, yeah we know the greens need some love. Stop being cheap and spend 20 more dollars ($40+)on a better course. Until then, thank you for all you have done Texaco for all us amateurs

First of all the pictures are extremely misleading, the course is nothing to look at. There is no practice range. These are some of the worst greens that I have ever played. I only payed 10 dollars and it still wasnt worth it.

Trash. $5 more play Sharpstown. $11 more play Herman. Not worth the frustration of playing a course in such bad shape.

Its okay for the money. Use it for Driving accuracy and youll be just fine.
