My 7 year old daughter LOVED SELENA. We decided to bring our daughter to see Selena museum, grave, & memeriol statue. We were extremely disappointed with grave site. Its was not clean or taken care of. Expected more extravagant since Selena was very famous. Upon arriving at the museum we couldnt believe that it was just like a old warehouse building. Couldnt even tell it was a museum there. Didnt even look nice from outside. We asked front desk lady if Mr. Quintanilla was there. Unfortunately he wasnt. We continue with the tour around & taking pictures of Selenas clothing, awards. Not even 5 minutes of being there we notice a man in the back in a room with the door open. We seen that he continued to kept looking up out toward the main area. After a couple of minutes it was confirmed that in fact it was Mr. Quintanilla, Selenas father. We were in a group 12 people/ family. One of the person from our group politely asked Mr. Quintanilla for picture. Mr. Quintanilla declined since he claimed to be working. Mr. Quintanilla said later once he had time. My daughter was infatuated with all of Selena stuff. Before leave our daughter asked Mr. Quintanilla if he would take a picture with him. Once again he rudely said No. Got up and walked out of the with another man whom he was talking to and proceed to go upstairs. We were extremely mad & couldnt believe Mr. Quintanilla would turn down a request from a fan of his daughter. There was another lady whom over heard Mr. Quintanilla response to our daughter. She walked out with us. The lady aslo couldnt believe the response from Mr. Quintanilla.She was planning to buy from the gift shop as so were we. Fortunately we didnt waste any more money to support Mr. Quintanilla. Whom is the person whom benefits from anything thats being sold under Selena name. Mr. Quintanilla should have a bit of respect towards the fans his daughter continues to have especially since Selena has been gone for over a decade. Mr. Quintanilla should be grateful that if it wasnt for his daughter Selena he wouldnt have what he has. Thanks to all of Selena fans. Which he has treated several of them very poorly & was rude to them. Dont waste your time or your money there. The inside of the building is old and not updated. Honestly it looks raggedy inside & out. The drinking faucet leaks and had a dirty little container underneath the faucet. Its obvious that the money from the museum entrance isnt being spent on the museum.

Our guide was friendly and polite. However, she only shared simple facts about the recording room and the artifacts in the next room. For example, she said, "Everything in the museum is authentic and this is where jLo stood when filing the movie Salena." "When you take pictures, please do not use the cameras flash." After walking guests through the recording studio and then to the museum, she stepped away and it became a photo frenzy for all guests. This was ok but not much meaning to many of us. Although I appreciate her quick quidence and being able to take endless photos without her presence, I beleive the museum could benefit more if the guide stuck around to explain some of Selenas personal accomplishments in detail and answer guest questions. As an employee in the educational field, this is an important piece of educating. In my opinion, this could make for a more interesting visit. Anyway, parking is free and adequate. Wait time was short. The facilities is clean and presentable with plenty to look at and read. The gift shop offers many items and you can visit them online too. The entry fee is affordable. Oh yeah, there is public restrooms available. Definitely worth the trip.

My 11 year old daughter is a HUGE Selena fan! She has been begging us to bring her. We love Selena too, so made the trip to Corpus Christi. So after reading reviews I warned my kids to not bother Mr. Quintanilla, because he was a busy man and did not like to be bothered. I didnt want them to have their hearts broken. Well... To our pleasant surprise.. As we are touring the beautiful outfits and memorabilia, Mr. Quintanilla comes in to room asking us if we would like to see what he does. He took the museum visitors that were there upstairs to his private studio, explained how the equipment worked and allowed us to ask any questions. He played us a track from a new artist he is working with. Mr. Q also took us to his video production room and concert hall where he had a heart to heart talk with the children in the group about knowing your parents will always be there for you and realizing sometimes friends come and go. Our overall experience was more than we dreamed of!! Thank you to the friendly staff and a huge THANK YOU TO MR. QUINTANILLA for taking over an hour out of his day to let us in to his world! My daughter will never forget today! God bless you!

The Selena museum was an amazing experience. However, the lady at the front desk didnt seem too friendly after she asked, "where are you coming from?" and I responded, "from DC" then she followed with her comment, "oh ok we have one from DC and one from Germany, but nobody from Texas oh man." I cant stress how bad that made me feel especially being so excited for months until I finally got there. I guess I disappointed her by not being from Texas. Although the greeting was not what I expected, I am truly appreciative and greatful with the Quintanilla family to have let me, and many other people share the intimate belongings of Selena. I literally spoke of that trip everyday until I actually drove there and I couldnt believe that I was actually there. I, like many more people who respect Selena y Los Dinos, felt privileged to have been able to gain that beautiful experience.

As soon as you walk in the main office there is a lady is sitting in her desk, she was on the phone not paying attention to anyone and ignoring every body as they walked in, People come to see and remember Selenas legacy. a group of people walked in happy to be there and a baby was crying and that lady told her to leave because she was on the phone. That was the rudest thing Ive ever seen in my life. The entire family walked out upset and didnt even get to see the museum because they were offended. They need to get a better set-up in their Museum and separate the office with the museum. And to tell you the truth I was not impressed with the museum they could have done much better. My family and I did the tour bought some t-shirts and probably will never come back to that place only because of the rude customer service they give you. We love you Selena always

We came to Corpus Christi from New York for La Fiesta de la flor festival and our first stop was her museum. Great place, not very big but has all you ever wanted to see of Selena. Her clothes, awards, car and recording studio. Gift shop is a little pricey but thats the norm for a gift shop. The only thing that really bothered me was Selenas dad showed up while we were on line to pay for our shirts and a fan walked up to him to take a picture and he very rudely declined that really annoyed me. He definitely doesnt have an obligation to take pictures with fans but just his whole attitude was very disgusting. People come from far to see all his daughter accomplished in her life a simple hello or thanks for coming would be enough for many of us. Still worth the visit overall.
