A wonderful and thoughtful house collection with traveling works and collections from around the world as well. They also have a terrific theater for screening film. Most of which follow a Q&A style showcasing filmmaker, writer, producer and or talent. Has a restaurant and awesome views of Corpus Christi Bay and surrounding points of interest. A great place for your half-way point in the day(s) of visit to CC, or a good place for lunch. Near CC Museum of Science and History, Harbor Playhouse and American Bank Center/Selena Auditorium, Heritage Park, the Water Garden and more.

Pros: great location, fair variety, interesting building, very fair pricing Cons: not as many exhibits as Id like to have seen, a little heavy on the abstract "heres a bunch of garbage painted black" side when we went, sort of confusing to get to (needs more signage), and the parking lot seems sort of crime-y

The Art Museum of South Texas ALWAYS has great exhibitions. I last saw the Dorothy Hood exhibit, which I loved ... before that, I visited an exhibit featuring Chicano art from the notable collection of art advocate Cheech Marin ... heard that a new show is coming from his collection in 2018! Cannot wait!!

The Outwin American Portrait exibit is really good. Im glad this weekend is Dollar Days at the Art Musuem for me to experience this exibit. The exibit will be there until September so I recommend everyone checks it out.

Great museum with assortment of exhibits. It took us about 2 hours to get through everything taking our time. Really friendly staff and discounts for A&M student and military. Great location near ocean.

Worth going to, but I wish they hadnt charged a fee that morning. Almost every room was crawling with staff getting ready for a wedding and it was not really easy to move around and see what we wanted.

The Art Museum was free today and from what I understand it is free every Friday not sure if that is correct. Hesters cafe is located in the Art Museum. Both were very enjoyable.

There are many paintings, drawings, and sculptures to see with the exhibits frequently rotating so there is always something new to see. Plus, theres a student discount!

Went there for the Fiesta de flor was not very happy my daughter and granddaughter waited in line 5 hours to get in the museum glad it was not hot

Free during normal business hours every month on the first Friday. Museum reopens at 5:30 for the Artwalk, and admission is $1.
