This was my second "weekend golf getaway" to this municipal course. The course itself was pretty well maintained, and really a pleasure to play. Plenty of water on this course! The staff in the food service area was always very friendly and helpful. The persons running the clubhouse were less friendly though, and not really very personable. The most disappointing part? The entire facility was closed by 6:30 on a Saturday evening! No food, drink or socializing after your round unless you finished earlier in the afternoon.

I give it four stars because the course has been in super-good condition both times I played this summer. Theres plenty of room to miss off the tee, but those small, elevated greens are a challenge to chip onto. Its a classic design of John Bredemus (hes designed Colonial in Fort Worth, Memorial Park in Houston and Schreiner Municipal in Kerrville) and likely has changed much since he left in the 30s.

I went there without any reservations. I played through everybody there, everyone was super nice, I expected less being a public course. Everyone offered me any sort of refreshment available. In short, an excellent place for a scratch player! Yes, it is busy, but everyone will let you play at your pace whatever that is! I give this a 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. Thank you.

Have not been on the course yet and I sure hope it is better the the staff in the club house! Who by the way are very disrespectful and the restrooms look like they have not been cleaned in months! There is no parking and how do you run out of carts by 10:00? I will update this when I am done playing.

This is a very well maintained course with some real challenges for a duffer like me. I play here on a regular basis and have never been disappointed with the course conditions--- only with my score...
