A few steps away from Vince Young Steakhouse is Red Room Lounge, a perfect place to continue the evening. Cozy couches in a dark, intimate room with an amazing selection of wine is a formula for a romantic and relaxed evening. The staff is delightful and full of knowledge, which makes for an even better experience. Enjoy! TIP: It’s a speakeasy bar, and unmarked. Look for Thomas Reprographics and the door with a red light above it.

You guys have it wrong. This is the Red Room Lounge on 3rd St. near the Convention Center. There is another unrelated bar simply called "Red Room" (RR) on 4th St. in the Warehouse District that is the one doing the discriminating against gays. This bars cool. Dont give it bad reviews because you think its the trashy low-down bar on 4th.

If you enjoy great wine and a well-thought-out design and decor, you will love this place. Great service and an incredible wine list. Cant ask for much more if youre looking for a glass of wine in the heart of downtown Austin. Will be back over and over for sure.

Classy and welcoming! Folks angry at that other, UNAFFILIATED, bar at 219 west 4th need to pay attention to where you point your anger. Walk down the street to the Lounge where theyll respect you as a human being and appreciate your business.

I love this place. Underground, swanky, dark and cool...also, theres wine. Sommelier on staff with a good bit of knowledge, bottle selection and glasses as well, regular wine deals from the personal wines side, etc. Worth a visit.

Hidden gem right on 2nd, there are other wine bars around Austin but not sure why you would go to them unless you are looking for more of a night out on the town type of deal, but this place has the wine speakeasy game on lock.
