I have visited this winery a total of three times. The last time I visited will be the last time. I was with a wine club member who actually pays to get the (stingy)deals and who buys prescribed amounts of wine on a regular basis. The dues are not trivial, nor are the wine prices. The wines are ok, but nothing to go crazy over. The structures are beautiful inside, with amazing stonework and marble. Thats the best part of the show. You can find that style in many bistros so its not unique, but it is well done. Anyway, the winery got busy. We were there for the member to pick up her wine selection so while the staff got that order together (pre-order actually), we decided to do a tasting, which is one of the selling points they use to bring in new members. Well, that was a mistake. Service was very poor, and rushed, with a total of three visits to the table and one of those was to tell us they needed us to give up the table. There were people standing around waiting for a table to sit at. Our "wine diva" asked us to give up our table BECAUSE we were members and as members it was understood that others should not be made to wait. We were still nibbling on crackers and finishing our last sips. Two of us at the table were not members and believe me, not only will we NEVER become members, we wont be coming back to visit as guests. Are you kidding me? Thats how Flat Creek treats members who pay. I thought it was rude and snotty and was definitely put off. I am not sure the current member will be renewing either. Very very poor treatment. Some of their events run $60 per person yet they give their members a paltry $5.00 discount for those - and thats if you pre-pay. Bottom line is, as a PAYING Wine Club Member, the only advantage you get is access to wines before they are sold out. In my opinion, its just not worth the cost or the drive. There are so many other wineries that treat you better, as if they are GLAD you came by. I did not experience that attitude during any of my three visits.

Went for my first time a week ago (on a beautiful winter day) and met Madelyn one of the owners who was serving us up some of the best wine I have tried in Texas! We did not eat at the bistro but our family friends said that it was amazing. We ended up joining the "wine club" which gives you discounts and free tastings (not sure how many per year). It is really a beautiful setting that reminded me of being in South Africa (well, kind of :). These people were lovely and do an excellent job with their wines. I loved the 2009 and 2010 Syrah (reserve) and the Super Texan has all sorts of bold flavors for the reds. There was also a very nice, light Pinot Grigio they had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Also, they have a very nice restaurant and tasting room in Marble Falls now too!

One of my fav Hill Country Wineries! Not only is the drive in gorgeous with the scenic hills surrounding the tasting room, but this is one of the prettiest tasting rooms I have visited! The staff is very nice and knowledgeable and you can do tastings at the bar or sit at a bistro table and have the tasting come to you! Nice selection of wines and you can buy by the tasting, glass, bottle, or case. My favorite feature here is they have a brunch menu on the weekends! They even have some beautiful wine artwork for sale that is worth checking out! Just a fantastic place to take a leisurely weekend drive out to for a nice wine/bistro stop and continue through the scenic splendor of the Central Texas Hills!

Absolutely our favorite winery. The location is incredible and getting to it is a wonderful drive. You instantly feel like your in Europe once you approach the property. The vinyard is spread over many acres, ponds, creeks and rolling hills. The owners are very involved in ensuring your visit is memorable and they are the nicest folks youll ever meet. They encourage you to grab a glass or bottle of wine and walk the beautiful property. Walk through the vinyards like you own it. Oh yes... the wines are fantastic. They have a great bistro to add to your visit with very attentive staff. Best romantic getaway. No dog house for a long time.

I decided I wanted to have a surprise birthday brunch for my husbands birthday and since the Brunchs are so great at Flat Creek winery, I worked with Madeline and her crew to arrange a birthday surprise. We choose 3 different brunch selections, had Mimosas and coffee. Also managed to surprise my husband by telling him we were meeting his parents there....had almost 20 (had to limit it a little)...It was by far the best surprise and the food was unbelievably wonderful as well as the service....Thanks to Madeline and the crew for such attentive service as well as beyond wonderful food...

Flat Creek has a lovely tasting room, nice people, and good deals on decent wine. Its not the most amazing winery in Texas, but its pretty good, and one of the better all-around experiences. My wifes grandparents are club members and we drink a lot of Flat Creek in their house. It does a good job as drinkable quality wine thats local. Its not superfine, but you dont pay superfine prices so thats okay. If youre new to Texas and want to try some decent wine this is a good place to start.

When you visit Flat Creek Estate, its easy to believe youre in Tuscany. The setting is beautiful. But the wine and food are the best reasons to visit. The tasting room is awesome - you get to sit at a table and the staff comes to you. Be sure to take time to eat in the Bistro while youre there. My favorites are the roasted veggies and the margherita pizza. (Make reservations! Its a small place with limited tables. You never know when there might be a private party!)

Zero stars. Rude snooty staff refused to seat my party more than an hour before the Bistro was scheduled to close. Management was unable to offer any suitable solutions. The trip was a complete waste. You should avoid this place, poor service and poorly managed. Ended up getting way better food and service at Krave wine bar and Bistro in round rock.

We stumbled upon this place while we were driving through the Hill Country & we were pleasantly surprised! Their Rose is hands down one of the best Texan wines ive had and their Great Texan is perfect with a large helping of chicken pot pie or meat & veg type of dish. The Bistro serves a delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza. Were definitely going back

Disc golf and great wine. It was a relaxing time on our Texas vacation. The outside is designed to relax and enjoy. My family loved the pro shop as they had loaners for discs and got to play a game through the vineyard. I enjoyed a great glass of wine on the secluded veranda. Everyone was very nice. A great Sunday.
