Went on a Thursday, Irish music night, great regular group of musicians - music wasnt obnoxiously loud so you could still carry on a conversation with your tablemates...great pub atmosphere. Now for the food... Small menu, but some jewels among it, namely the appetizers. Get the sausage in puff pastry - like no sausage you ever had. Wasnt dense and greasy - so smooth almost a pate texture and baked in a puff pastry and with hot mustard served on the side. YUM! Then the seafood chowder is unbelievable. I havent had a chowder this tasty and unique since Rhode Island! Generous bowl of Crab/Shrimp/Small Scallops in a creamy tomato bisque with just the most perfect spices to compliment it...this alone would be worth the trip inside the pub. Main course, had the fish and chips. Very nice...HUGH fresh fish larger than the platter and chips were not bland seasoned nicely. Service was very good all around. Loved it.

Authentic feeling Scottish pub that has one of the largest Scotch selections around. The food is fantastic. I recommend trying the Toad in the Hole (their version uses a puff pastry) as a starter and the Steak and Ale Pie if you want something hearty. Fish and chips are also good, with amply sized portion. Burger isnt bad either. Fully stocked bar with decent beer selection, but as mentioned they are really about Scotch. The bar is divided in 3 sections: the front area feels like a traditional pub. The center area has a stage and small tables, hosting live music several nights a week. The final section has darts and a few other games, with larger tables for bigger groups. Service here is always excellent, along with the food and drinks. Probably my favorite joint in the Old City.

INCREDIBLE scotch/whiskey/bourbon selection. The selection is several pages in a binder. Whatever youre looking for -- they probably have it. The beer selection is also decent with quite a few regional options. They stay pretty busy (and loud) on the weekends, and theyve had live music every time I have been. Last time I went they were playing the 60s batman theme when we came in, but they often seem to have a band that prefers wearing kilts. I havent ever eaten there, but my sister got some baked macaroni thing last time that looked delicious.

The William Wallace burger is all you want after youve had a few beers. The Guinness blue cheese gravy and the seasoned fries are phenomenal, and the burger is icing on the cake! Try it with a Yee-Haw Dunkel (dark like a Guinness, but a little sweeter and less bitter). Youll feel like youve been to heaven and back. Awesome waitstaff, cozy atmosphere, even better if you stop in while they have live music. I absolutely recommend!

The atmosphere of the Jig and Reel is amazing, the service is exceptional, and the authentic Irish and Scottish cuisine is truly extraordinary. They host live Irish, Scottish, and Appalachian musical performances on occasion, which is an excellent experience in itself. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to experience authentic Irish/Scottish cuisine or anyone just looking for a new dining experience.

Laid back atmosphere with excellent service and a whisky selection thatll make your head spin. Thankfully their bartenders do generally know their Scotch and are more than happy to help you pick. They also have a full bar with about anything else youd want if Scotch isnt your thing. A couple of TVs usually have sports on and theyll have a band in the other room on weekends.

Our favorite place in the Old City! Even if youre a novice at scotch, youll find its fun to explore the different varieties...and of course you the Guinness and Strongbow pints are poured just perfect! The staff rocks and the music is always great! You seriously cant have a bad time at Jig and Reel!

The atmosphere is really fun and the food is good, but our server was very rude and literally had no idea about anything on the menu. Didnt really help us make informed decisions and it felt rushed. Everyone else was great though. Cool and different place to go.

We love eating and spending time here. The toads in a hole are a must try. If you order fries on the side order one to share with someone else, because you get a huge basket. Lots of different whiskeys and scotch to try. They have live music

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Went in for lunch with the kids - no kids menu but the macaroni and cheese pie is fantastic! The kids loved it! We will definitely be back next time we visit Knoxville!

The best place for scotch in Knoxville. Awesome Scottish fare as well. I have yet to order something I didnt like here. Their free live music nights are a great idea for a date or to just hang out with friends.

Parking is difficult, usually involves walking. The food is decent, but everything is overpriced. Atmosphere is cozy, staff is friendly. Ill be going back, and hope itll be at least as good.

Good food & great scotch. Decor gives it a nice atmosphere. Staff was attentive but seemed hurried tho it was not crowded. All in all a great place to visit for a old pub style feel.

Pub food, a relaxed but bustling atmosphere, and frequent small live acts compliment a good beer and extensive scotch selection. Well worth a visit if youre in Old City

Scotch and whiskey aside, the food is simply the best downtown, especially for the price. Phenomenal music that fits instead of detracts with the pubs Gaelic roots
