Our family recently took a jet ski trip from Marlin Quay that left a lot to be desired. I called ahead and reserved 3 jet skis, but when we were at the dock waiting to head out, we were informed that one jet ski had broken the night before and there were only 2 available. I left my phone number when I made the reservation but for some reason no one felt the need to give us a heads up before we got there as we then had to cram 3 people on each jet ski. We were all experienced on jet skis, but before we left our guide gave us no direction or instruction whatsoever on jet ski operation, safety, where we were going, or anything else. My most significant complaint is that on the way out to the ocean while going past the jetty, the guide (who had 2 of our riders on her craft) cut across the channel directly in front of a boat that was also headed out to the ocean. Luckily the boat was paying attention and was able to avoid a collision, but the guide never saw the near miss. Once we were in the open water riding the jet skis we had a good time, but I noticed that my fuel was very low and called that to the attention of our guide, who said that we should go back. Why the fuel levels werent checked and topped off before we left is confusing. Overall the marina is close to the jetty/open ocean and this could have been a great trip, but there were so many easily correctable things that ruined our familys experience and caused us to not feel safe.

This is the worst operational Marina we have ever been to. We booked a charter trip on Reel Deep. Confirmed with a credit card for $1950. Confirmed again later when called to ask what to bring. Went to the Marina to see the location to the day before. Arrived at 530 am. No one was at the Marina, captain never showed. Another party arrived for the same boat at 630 am for a double booked boat. Still no captain. Marina opens after 7 am. We are told the boat engine had a problem. Neither party received a phone call. Captains phone was off all morning. He never showed up to let the booked parties know. Most unprofessional experience ever had. By the way, it was fathers day and my 65 year old father looked like a kid who missed Christmas. Dont make the same mistake, book somewhere else. My guess is they were in the bar late and turned off the phone. Seriously.

I am a captain for a company that leases three or four slips from Malrin Quay for our boats. The new owners have turned the marina into what it needs to be. They are always upgrading anything that needs it. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, for example when I enter the jetties I will call to see if the fuel dock is available, if it is the diesel hose is already out and ready for me to pump. The Bar and Grill is AWESOME, the food is fantastic, I honestly eat there at least once a week. I would highly recommend checking Marlin Quay Marina out for all of your boating, dinner, or fishing needs!

The best place at the beach for your fishing needs, the selection of options to fish are endless. They anything from the Gulf Stream to the Murrells Inlet creeks . The folks that run the Quay are by far the nicest and most helpful on the beach ! The food is darn good as well and they have a killer bar upstairs with the best sunsets north of the Keys. Dont spend your vacation running around looking for fish,food,drink or good people.... Marlin Quay has it all in one stop ! Tight Lines...

Very disappointing...wanted to book the water taxi for my wedding party and had actually spoke to Michael Stone in person and on the phone. When it came finalizing plans he "had just left" or "I just missed him". Left a message with employees and on his personal voicemail. Called around 5-6 times to finalize. We visit Garden City every year and they will never have our business again.

I love Marlin Quay Marina and the staff there are really friendly and dont mind helping you with whatever you need. They offer different fishing charters and even sunset cruises out on the boat! I always stop by when Im in the area and they are by far my favorite Marina. Stop by when you are in the area and get some of there great food!

Wish I could give it negative stars, my friends and I walked on to the unsecured dock and after walking from one side to the other, where stopped and escorted into an office where we were threatened for stealing, though we hadnt stolen anything. All in all one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a dock in south carolina.

This place is awesome! The food is great! Especially the fish tacos and the fresh caught peel and eat shrimp. The servers are always easy to talk to and genuinely care about your experience. The marina always puts on fun events. This marina is great for everything from fishing to just hanging out and soaking up the view.

We went on our first deep sea fishing trip on August 17 with Captain Robby on the Carolina Fly. He provided first class service as well as putting us on the fish, which included the marina record Amberjack for the year. Already looking forward to another trip with Captain Robby and Marlin Quay Marina!

Love going here! The food is amazing from breakfast to dinner and at a great price. The service is outstanding. Very clean. The new renovated bar is awesome! New owners did a great job and continue to do a great job. Will definitely keep coming back to Marlin Quay.

Cant say enough about our trip! Cpt. Caleb is great! Fishing was a little slow but you cant blame the outfit for the fish not biting. I dont have unreal expectations about catching every fish in the inlet and was happy to get what we had! Had a really good time!!
