Bad Experience. Yesterday, a Wednesday of all days, I and my wifes fellow employees (about 10) from a local Drs office had dinner at this place to honor several birthdays. We were seated on their deck out back. The establishment was very lightly attended this night. The first waitress took a very long time to get us our drinks and even longer to take our orders. Later a more helpful waitress took over our table. After what was a very long wait our food arrived..., part of it that is. After waiting patiently for some time for the remainder, we gave up and requested the check. At first they were demanding that we pay for what we didnt get, . No manager appeared via my request. Finally we were told to leave & were not required to pay. I had stated that I wanted to pay for what little we got. New ownership was the explanation given for the difficulty. I dont suppose that the employees were on their first day so what was the problem?. We did enjoy our Onion Ring dinner although not as filling as we had planned. The place seemed kind of "run down" but perhaps that is the beach ambiance? If our experience is any indication, I dont think the new owners will be here for long. I know about 12 local residents that will probably never return.

The service at the outside bar was sub-par, and it was no better inside. After an hour of waiting, while everybody else who was waiting had already been seated, we finally asked if a table was ready yet. *poof* a table was available. The appetizer was good, but the entrees didnt even get to the table until the waiter noticed (almost an hour after we ordered) that we didnt have them, yet. As soon as he saw that, *poof* the food was miraculously ready, and it was cold and the presentation was incredibly poor for the price that we were paying for the food. We will never be back. (The picture is the hot fish seafood platter - minus a side - for almost $30!)

Loved the food, BUT the noise is TO LOUD because they try to put to many tables in the room and the old type tin roof just reflects the noise back. Again love the food, always great, but good luck on trying to talk to someone. The last time we were there--2 weeks ago-- the waitress said they were going to put egg crates under the tables to try to help with noise. No sure what good something under table will do to help, but anything would be better than now. At this price point you should not have to yell over the table next door who is trying to do the same thing so they can be heard also.

Terrible experience. Food was not good overall. Hush puppies much too sweet, and I am a Southerner. The coleslaw was bland. The fish was either undercooked or was under the warmer much too long. The waitress was a smiler but abrupt and we felt rushed. She was very short with us as we asked questions about the menu items. We went here our last night in the area and it was a huge disapointment. We should have stayed at the beach bar instead. Not worth the money at all and certainly not worth the effort. Never again!

The food is absolutely delicious. I took my girlfriend down there last week and had a great time. I ordered the rib-eye steak that came with bacon seared green beans and she ordered the grouper that came with lobster risotto. Both of our dishes came out to perfection. I highly recommend those dishes. We also went to the outside bar after dinner to enjoy a few drinks and listen to live band. again great service in both parts and the live music added to a perfect night for us. We will definitely be back again.

Been here several times and the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is because the noise factor. Do yourself a favor and plan ahead to call the day before and reserve a table on the porch or the cabaret room. Oysters and food is always on point and if you have a problem like I had one time with my steak theyll gladly fix it and make sure you are happy! Waitresses are always so nice and fun. Everyone that comes to visit and wants to eat good seafood I always take them here! CALL AHEAD THE DAY BEFORE!!!

Seafood is my craving when i venture from the mountains to the coast. Hot Fish Club is at the top of my dinner list when visiting the Myrtle area. Its a litte out of the way, located on the inter-coastal, in a quiet setting. Get there early as the kitchen closes at 9pm. The She-Crab soup is to die for! All of their fresh fish is cooked to perfection, served with fresh veggies. Youll love the menu! They often have live music out on the veranda as well. Drink and dance the night away..

Nice place. The staff were great. Very accommodating to our wheelchair, although we had to come through a side door. Be sure to call ahead. Its always crowded. The food was good but lacked some seasoning. They take the natural seafood flavor approach. The scallops were great. The lobster Mac and cheese bites needed salt and more lobster. Overall it was a nice experience but I doubt I would return again. I have had better seafood 3 hours inland in Fort Mill, SC.

We came off season, in November and were looking for steamed oysters. They were on the menu - on the half shell for a dozen at 17.00. I ordered 2 dozen, willing to pay for the succulent treat of fresh steamed oysters. They were tasteless I am sad to report. My husband ordered a seafood platter that had a lot of other things (fish, crab cakes, shrimp etc.) and it was much better. If you are looking for steamed oysters, go elsewhere. Not sure where, but not here.

This is our second trip to this restaurant and it doesnt disappoint! I would recommend hanging out on the patio overlooking the marsh area. I went with a steam pot both times and I wouldnt change anything about them. The food tasted very fresh. The fish and chips were very good as well. I will make it back here for sure!

I went here one night and hung out on the gazebo. When I left I payed for my bill with a credit card and left a tip in cash. When I checked my statement later that week, they had added a 20% tip to my card! Completely unbelievable and infuriating. I will never go back here again.

The best meal we had on our vacation. Was able to use a 10% off coupon (google it) and the kids loved being able to walk the boardwalk located directly on the marsh. The Hot Fish Club has a spacious grassy area so kids were able to get their wiggles out before sitting down to eat.

Everytime we come to the South Strand we go to Hot Fish Club and are never disappointed. We always try other restaurants and nothing in the Pawleys Island/Murrells Inlet area compares! Great food, well made drinks, and good service! Our favorite restaurant by far!
