RENEGED ON DEAL!!!!! My son lives out of state and purchased a picture for fathers day at this gallery with the understanding his dad could return it and receive a refund within 4 days with the receipt. My husband went down to the gallery the day after fathers day with the picture and receipt and the owner RENEGED ON THE DEAL. So guess what my husband got stuck with a $74.00 credit to a gallery. So I called the gallery and a women answered who started laughing loudly in the phone when I asked her if this was the gallery near brick alley restaurant. You can just image now what I had to deal with. I did ask for the owner to return my call and still await a call.

What a great place to shop! You can truly lose yourself at this gallery. We bought two items from Lisa, one of the helpful shop assistants. She was knowledgeable, willing to try about 10 different frames with the two paintings we picked and helped us with the choices we ultimately made... After this, go to the Red Parrot down the street, or the Brick Alley Pub next door to celebrate your newest catch

I have been looking for an abstract piece of art for many months till we visited Newport for a friends wedding. My husband and I visited Seaside Art gallery and felt in love with an abstract picture. Lisa (gallery manager) helped us and gave us the option of changing the frame which then made it hard to resist. Its been a few weeks since we purchased the art and we are very pleased with our purchase.

Not bad for the purpose that it has. Just be aware that it is not exclusively a fine art gallery in the sense of high refined art, nor is the artwork exclusively nautical. The mix includes prints of famous art work of various subjects, actual paintings for sale, and lesser quality artwork.

Reminds me of one of those perpetually going out of business stores with "50% OFF" signs posted year-round, but the paintings are done by real artists and some of them are pretty nice. The prices are cheap, but the artwork is mass produced.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful paintings by local artists. No pressure sales, the artwork sells itself! Most of the paintings we saw included the frame in the price.
