The Sprit Cruise was terrible, dont go!! If you go then eat before you go because they ran out of food and dessert! We were a party of 10 and went for my daughters birthday. They sent each table up to the buffet and we were one of the last tables to go and they were out of pasta, and other dishes were almost empty with no one refilling. The food itself was good but if you say buffet then someone should be refilling dishes before they go empty!! Come on people is this your first dinner cruise??? Then when we were finished eating we decided to go check to the desserts. Well guess what..... the desserts are almost gone. There was an empty plate where there had been a cake and then a few emptying trays where there had been other desserts, the fruit bowl was almost empty. I looked around for a staff member and when I saw a gentlemen walk away with some dirty dishes I said excuse me "Are they refilling the desserts" and he rudely commented "theyre gone" as he walked away. WTF!! Are you kidding me??? You run out of food and then you run out of desserts!! Wait it gets even better.... My sister said well no desserts so I guess Ill ask for a cup of coffee. When she asked our waitress for a cup of coffee with cream and sugar she said sorry but were out of cream. My sister said what you have no cream?? and then my sister said well then you can use milk and she said no we dont have any of that either. What we had was spoiled so they threw it out. She said I can put some whipped cream in. Can you believe that???? Not sure who does the ordering of food and supplies for the ship but they should be fired!! At almost $100/person these people at Spirit Cruise should find another business because theyre not doing a terrible job!! Very disappointing and will tell all I know DO NOT DO A SPIRIT DINNER CRUISE!

To whom it may concern, I am on my daughters account. I couldnt wait to get home from work today to hear all about her fabulous experience on the Spirit of Philadelphia. How disappointing to hear that after they stood out in the hot sun to get on board and waiting for lunch to be served....THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH FOOD. My daughters table was the last to be served. It was a buffet and by the time that they were called there were no taco shells, beef or chicken!!! She had a choice of rice and taco toppings to choose from on the buffet. She did however get a small amount of Mac and Cheese and string beans. They were told that the chicken would be refilled and it was not. They only dessert that was left were cookies. My daughter is 11 and shy that is why she did not say anything to an adult. This is unacceptable. We paid the same amount of money that the children sitting at the first table did. I just got off of the phone with customer service for your company. Although Alyssa was very pleasant and understanding an "Im sorry" over and over again just doesnt cut it. You have been in business for a very long time. I have had the pleasure of cruising with you many many years ago and it was an awesome experience and I was hoping that my daughter had the same experience. I hope that these children did not get short changed just because they are children. I hope that you will compensate my child in some way. Thank you for your time. Annie Myers ps.......87 degree weather and there were no refills on the soda!!

The boat itself is very pretty and laid out so there are plenty of people that can fit on board but you dont feel cramped. The dance floor is small but adequate, and the music runs the genres, from 60s through today. The DJ could stand to talk a little less and we can do without the "contest", which is odd...they have you fill out little cards with your name, email, etc...then suddenly there are 4 "contestants" that show up on the flooor to win the prize via applause. So other than collecting everyones email to send them junk mail, how that played out was a bit dodgy. The food is there for exactly what its supposed to do, soak up alcohol. Its carb loaded, and tasteless. The drinks run around $12. a pop and are small. You may be better off with a drink package, depending on the group size etc. The boat ride is smooth but whoever decided to turn around after the Ben Franklin, the head south towards the airport is a dummy. If youve ever driven 95 you can see that once you pass the Walt Whitman there is nothing to see. ..it becomes black and dull. Throw in a little odor, and all the reasons for staying outside dissapear. Then the ship crawls back toward Center City to dock. Now I see when the DJ asked how many people had sailed with them before and no one raised thier hands.. why.

My first time experience. I had a cruise booked for May the 14th the time was set for 11:30 to 1:30 I had it like that because it was my husband surprise birthday party and everyone was really looking forward to this. Well it didnt work out the way I plan the boat pulled out a half hour before the schedule time. I ask if there was any they could call the captain and they said no when they did have a number that they couldve used. When I call to talk to someone I got the run around. I talked to 4 different people at first I was going to rest it for Fathers day but when they took so long I just said forget it I just want my money back. I started waiting for my money on 05-16 and when I got it was 6-3. I really feel like I shouldnt have lost $45 because I was there on time and they wasnt there they wouldnt even let one of the band members on and that was wrong. The next time I want to have a boat ride it will not be with this company

My fiance and I enjoy finding fun stuff to do around the city, especially food related. This was the biggest waste of money. The food made us feel sick for the rest of the day, it was basically like an old country buffet but youre stuck there for two hours. The dj and staff were fun and nice, but the other passengers were very rude. Lots of shoving past and dirty looks when you said "excuse me" to get by. We love kids, but the kids on the ship werent monitored and were running through the narrow aisles past tables- we saw a drink or two spilled because of this. We were seated near the buffet, people were leaning on and over our table as we were trying to eat. I was very excited to do this cruise for 2 years and was so unbelievably disappointed. Save the $100+ and go somewhere else.

The food is only so-so. Their policies are great if you enjoy flushing money down the toilet. The ship is well maintained with a beautiful dance floor and romantic lighting. They sail right past a water treatment facility with an interesting odor that would send a skunk running in the opposite direction. The sights are a thing to behold. Youll have views of the city skyline, the Battleship New Jersey, the Camden Aquarium, the Philadelphia Sport Stadiums, and several industrial sites that line the Delaware River. If you go, book the evening cruise, so you can see the city skyline lit up at sundown. Avoid the lunch cruise and be mindful, if you miss the boat, there is a no money back policy but a $15 rescheduling fee.
