Museum employees Tressa and Conner made my day when I visited the Rodin last Wednesday. In fact, they turned what could have been a disappointing stop -- due to bad information about the availability of a staffed coat check -- into a lovely afternoon. Conner and Tressa went above and beyond. They watched my carry-on baggage (I was leaving from the museum to go to the airport, and didnt have anywhere else to put it), even allowing me to go to lunch. Conner took the time to call me a cab, and even carried my heaviest bag out for me. Yes, the collection, grounds, and arrangement of the pieces are all superb. Even more than my love of Rodins work, though, Ill be back because the staff at the Rodin Museum are such terrific people. Next time, though, Ill know in advance to leave my luggage elsewhere :-). Thank you, Conner and Tressa!

Precioso espacio.

If you go to the Philadelphia Art Museum, youll get access to the Rodin too. Its only a short walk away and worth the trek. The grounds are beautiful. I spent more time sitting by the pool and smelling the lavender than I did inside. Of course, inside is where youll find a small room with several notable pieces. I was able to walk around and see everything in under 20 minutes.

Pretend you are in Paris for a day and go to the Rodin Museum in Philly. Admission is free, or suggested donation. The museum is small enough to go through in an hour. The garden is peaceful and all of the sculptures are really quite impressive. To think this was one mans private collection. Thankfully, it now lives for everyone to see in Philly.

My favorite thing to do after a visit to Rodin Museum is to stop by Whole Foods and pick-up a sandwich or a made to order Hoagie at Wawa (both stores are about a block from the museum) and have a picnic in the courtyards. There are lots of benches shaded by tall trees in and around the museum for visitors to relax or cool off from the sun.

Impressive building if comparatively small with roughly two dozen Rodin sculptures inside and about six outdoors in a very nice garden setting that the museum is in. No entry fee other than pay what you can. Helpful docents to answer your every question. I suspect youll never see so many Rodins in one place. Parking is on the street.

The museum is not so big, which allows you to easly check on every sculpture without any rush. The price...is up to you! You decide what to donate. There is also a free guide who will take you both inside and outside (garden). It was very interesting and we cannot wait to go back and see the garden also (it was too cold that day).

Beautiful museaum and collection. The staff keep to themselves, like most art museaums, but when I asked questions I found their knowledge of Rodin and his life to be endless and passionate. They have a nice little lilbrary and study and also provide sketch books if you like to draw! Fantasic little gift store too.

This is a great museum with a wonderful cloister garden. It is smaller than the one in Parts, though I like the treatment of the "Thinker" and the "Gates of Hell" better in Philly. The inside is well lit and laid out. It isnt a large museum by any stretch, but it is a wonderful hidden gem on the parkway.

Absolutely lovely. I didnt know what to expect, though Ive heard about it for years. It wasnt massive, but we spent a solid 3 hours, and werent ready to leave before they closed on us. Every piece had so much expression and interpretation to it that it was easy to spend hours here.

I feel like art museums and showcases are hard to review for anyone except yourself. What I can say is that the building itself is beautiful and well-kept. The staff are all very nice, the museum is pay-what-you-wish, and, from my own perspective, all of Rodins art is stunning.

Absolutely beautiful. Entrance is pay as you wish and suggested donation for adults is $6. Its a small museum but you will definitely leave with a sense of awe and respect for Rodins sculptures. The outdoor garden is open to public and is a great photo spot.

Oddly enough most of the inside was closed when I went due to changing of the exhibition but I have to say the garden was so impressive with all the sculptures Ive been able to study over the years and seeing them in front of me was a definite experience.

The largest collection of Rodins work outside of Paris, the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia is not to be missed. Walk past the Thinker, gaze upon the Gates of Hell, and see some beautiful art. Oh, and admission is free, but please donate!

Amazing collection of beautiful works by Rodin. The Thinker and the Gates of Hell are the highlights. The indoor and outdoor displays are easy to navigate and beautiful to behold. Highly recommended if youre in Philadelphia!

The singular focus of this museum is a refreshing change of pace, and its size makes the works very accessible. Its worth spending a few extra minutes to explore the outdoor grounds, with sculptures and fountains.

What a great place to spend an hour viewing some of the most beautiful sculptures ever made by human hands. I have true appreciation for Rodin and will spend hours on end drawing in my sketchbook.

Great collection of art, both contemporary paintings as well as less appreciated artisan pieces, uniquely arranged in "collections" by the original owner, then moved here in the same arrangements.

A collection of Rodins works which expresses his artistic sensibility and mastery of diverse techniques with brevity. The museum and its grounds form an excellent setting to ruminate upon Rodin.

A nice artistic spot where to enjoy some beatiful sculptures by Rodin. Unlike big museums, here you can linger over art works, and look closely at them with no pressure from upcoming visitors.

Visiting the city for the first time, this was a special unplanned treat! The layout of the grounds are fantastic. The work even better! The best of Rodin on display! Dont miss the Burghers!

A really beautiful museum. It was my first visit and I will go back many times during my staying in Philadelphia. It is very big and there is a good variety of different types of art.
