This is a large well kept county park that surrounds a large lake. Canoe, Kayak, paddle boats can be rented during the summer months. There are also racing long boat teams that practice on the lake if you enjoy some old school boating competition. This park has abundant wild life and good birding, being home to many animals. There are both paved and dirt paths that wind through the park. Ample pavillions are available for use and can be reserved at the park office. There are a number of nice play grounds for kids. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash. There is a subscription / membership dog park on the north side of the park that looks very well kept. The park also has Tennis courts, basketball and soccer areas. One of the moon trees is in the park and is located just up the hill from the main boat launch area. The tree is marked.

I came to this part for the fist time yesterday to take my maternity pictures long story short the pictures turn out great and I ended up being there after hour not knowing what time the park closed and I needed a jump and I called 911 for help and the park ranger was a dick he did not want to help me and I thought it was his job to assist me he told me he was going to tow my car instead of helping me he was a racist individual thank God for the county police officers coming they were so nice and treated me with respect the ranger didnt have long story short there are great officers out there they made sure I was staying warm and out the cold but lesson learned know the part hours and restrictions before entering

Great park for many activities. At least 5 playgrounds spread around the park, great for kids 2-10. Pavilions available for daily rentals. Several fields are popular for baseball, soccer, kite flying and more. Dog park, walking trails, mountain biking, fishing and boat rentals are also available. Also a local birding hotspot. Our kids are particularly fond of the big playground near the large pavilion. Pavilion rentals are reasonably priced and easily booked through the country park website. Park is clean and well maintained. We dont bring our dog, but the kids also enjoy waking from the playground to the dog park (which is always in use).

Core Creek is a beautiful park centered around Lake Luxembourg, with plenty of walking/biking trails, open playing fields, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, and boating activities. This park is one of our familys favorite spots to go on a nice weekend for a walk, or to play, we even recently held a birthday party at one of the pavilions near the front, which was perfect for the kids since it was so close to playgrounds.

Went to rent kayaks with my girlfriend and another couple but the place only has 3 kayaks and most of them are occupied. We were told to wait 15 minutes until some got back but they gave it to other people. Terrible service terrible communication. Do not go here for kayak rental unless you want to wait hours. Also very expensive compared to other places check around.

I have always enjoyed this park and recently toured it while back in the area. Still a very nice resource. I grew up next door to the park and watched it being built. Once the dam was complete, I used to sail on the lake. I never could understand why they needed a park there but now that the area has grown, I see it was good planning.

Good community park with walking/biking paths, a dog park, and a lake with boats available for rent (but no swimming). Pavilions are available for rent in advance or call the morning of to rent a pavillion

This park has it all. Kayak or canoe rental, a walking path, a large playground, many picnic areas, an great mountain bike trails. There are good chances you will see deer if you drive through the park.

Nice park, especially for free! I enjoy hanging down by the waterfront. Make sure you try the mango water ice if the truck is there -- it may really be the worlds best.

Well maintained county park. Nice, wide open views. 11 picnic pavilions. Nice lake. Decent fishing. Bike and hike trails. Soccer and softball fields. Large playground.

Smaller park with a small play ground and several seating/part areas. Another nice thing is the lake and the equipment available for rent to take out on the lake.

The family loves going here for picnics, to play. You can rent canoes, boats, paddle boat, fish, so much to do here. Rent a pavilion for a birthday party
