The golf course may be great but the new restaurant is disgusting. Not only was the restaurant not available because of a party, (really should have had a separate area for events) but the grillside bar which we were directed to was hard to find and there was NO lighting to guide our way. My friend and I had to pull out our cellphones so we could find our way down the stairs and even when we had left we had to do so again because their was also NO lighting in the very large parking lot that was still under construction. There was only one waitress who was also bar tending and really could have used some help. She was very nice, but should not have been alone on a Saturday night. The decor was cheap and hurriedly put together. And the GIANT TV that was tacky in what is supposed to be the new ritzy place for Tunkhannock. And as for our food: The rolls were not fresh and still cold and iced in the middle. Packets of butter were served with it. The salad was wilted and old. And my dish, the scallops were tiny, greasy, under seasoned, and under cooked. And the rice was equally gross. And that was about $24. My friend got a salad as her main course and it too was horrible. The only nice thing we could say was the sliced apples in the salads were crisp and fresh. And hers was about $13. Never will I go back again. Maybe they should return the TV and invest in some outdoor lighting before someone breaks their neck and get some fresh butter and rolls if they ever expect this place to take off.

Had a tee time for 9:56 am on a Sat., prime time, right? Waited forever to tee off and discovered that the problem was that there was 3 fivesomes in front of us. Finally saw a ranger as we got to the 4th tee and I asked "are you aware there are 3 fivesomes in front of us?" He replied "Im perfectly aware and one of the players is the owner!" We waited on ever tee box. Some waits were as much as 25 minutes. If I was the owner, I would have recognized the injustice and inconvenience and offered a free round. Not even a free drink was offered. The course was not in great shape, tee boxes were horrible. I have played this course many times in the past, before the sunk all their funds into the new clubhouse. I used to considered it a treat to play there despite having to travel 3 hours to get there and spend the night. It is officially off my list!!

Played for the first time today. The views are very nice and if you like elevation changes this course is for you. The clubhouse is very nice and the fairways and greens were in very good shape. The greens were just the right speed for the slope. As other reviewers note the cart paths are rough and the bunkers are essentially dirt with rocks. We did not even play out of them. I would also add the tee boxes are not very good. It looks like they were starting to work on the tee boxes. Even with these drawbacks its worth playing and good value.

To start took 15 minutes to find someone to help us . The sand traps was more like a gravel pit . More gravel & clay then sand. The cart paths reminded me I was in Pennsylvania with all the bumps & potholes. There was plastic pipes sticking out of the ground randomly, almost hit one with golf cart because was not marked. On the tee they put the place to tee off right in line with the sprinklers. They cut brush along cart path & just left it there. Just would never go back

Due to its location this wonderful course is overlooked. If it was within an hour of NYC, you would need a $125 to get on it. However, it is a bargain and well worth the drive north of Scranton. This is an architectural gem that plays out over hills and water, open fields and dense woods. Each hole is distinct, and few courses can say that. I compare it to Grossingers, another overlooked gem.

Nice overall course. Some challenging holes. Nice mixture of holes. Some links some mountain holes. Greens in good shape. My two knocks would be a poor driving range, grass was in bad shape. Some cart paths where not in good shape at all. If it was closer to me I would play a few times a year. I will come back next season for another round.

My home course, been a member here forever, never bored, often discouraged. Inconsistent playing conditions are my biggest gripe ( our superintendent does a great job on minimal budget) cart paths and bunkers are in desperate need. All this aside you will not find a better layout within 100 miles

Stone Hedge 2013 is a MUST PLAY. The owners have gone far beyond expectations adding a beautiful dust free parking lot and massive clubhouse. The fairways and greens are superb as opposed to any previous year. Ive played here 50x over the past 10 years and have never seen the course like this.

The setting for the wedding attended at the Country Club was beautiful but that is the only positive thing I can say. The service was poor, the bartenders were slow and inexperienced and there was no air conditioning!
