Comtra may not be the large theater stage that other communities have and sometimes you sit so close to the stage you may have the feeling you are part of the cast. My first experience at Comtra was at a production of Camelot .Waiting for the musical to begin I saw nothing in the theater that looked like a castle or forest. Then the lights went dim , the music started and with in five min. I was totally transformed . I was in Camelot and in the forest , totally transformed by the acting ,music ,singing and lighting , as if I were under a spell brought on by Merlin himself. Never once have I been disappointed with the many performances Ive seen at Contra. One of Cranberry Townships treasures. Judith Williams

I recently saw Seussical at the Comtra Theater -- the show itself was well-done, but whoever runs the theater does an extremely poor job. I called to reserve seats a full month before I planned on seeing the show. When I arrived half an hour before the show started, I learned that seating was not assigned and the place was already packed with only two or three open seats left, despite the number of people streaming in from the lobby who also had "reserved seats." I was then offered a $3 refund (after having paid $15) and told to sit on the steps. The woman who "assisted" me was extremely disrespectful and rude, and I will never return to this theater again.

Would be a "5" except for the terrible parking "lot." It is very treacherous because people are allowed to drive in both ways, when it should definitely be a one-way area. Parking spots themselves are REALLY small, even for my car (I do not have a big SUV; they take up a space and a half). Only two handicapped spots, when the top four should be designated that way. Something REALLY needs to be done about the lot, spaces, one-way, etc. But the performances definitely make up for the lacking in parking. I have seen ten or twelve performances there, and each is as good as a show in Pittsburgh (or better!). My daughter performs there, and we just love it.

This is a great local community theater with a very cute "in the round" venue. Its very small, so dont expect Broadway. But because of the size, i dont think there is a bad seat in the house, and you feel like youre right in the middle of the action. Its a really inexpensive night out for the family, or for a date. The volunteers work so hard to put on a great show, and they really dont get enough recognition. My kids love seeing shows there, and I love that I can take them affordably.

I love live theater. My granddaughter and I get to share a wonderful evening without having to drive into Pittsburgh. Its easy to order tickets online and you can choose where you would like to sit. I attend several times a year and have enjoyed all the performances.

We have been going to Comtra Theatre for about 15 years. They have always done very well. If you are looking for a night of fun entertainment at a very low cost go see one of their shows. We just saw A Christmas Carol and they did a wonderful job.

An excellent night out for family and friends to enjoy the areas own musical and acting talent. In a venue full of great history. Its like stepping back in time and enjoying theatre in its classic form.

What a cute theater. There isnt a bad seat in the house. Its local actors and a neighborhood feel but comfortable and entertaining. Close to us and easy parking.

Great shows. Parking lot could be a bit bigger though get there early to get a space. Cant use bathroom during show because you would need to walk across stage.
