This is not a place I would return to, which is ashame because the food was absolutely AMAZING... We made reservations for the Mothers Day Brunch for noon yesterday, did not get seated until 40 minutes later because of their mismanaged front of the house-They reserve you a specific table and you have to wait until the people before you leave to be seated, so you had some people that waiting an hour plus, and other people who just had walked in that got seated. Once we finally got seated we were excited because the view was beautiful and the food looked delicious, but a server did not come over for at least 10 minutes, then never brought our mom the drink she had asked for, and then throughout the whole time we were there, asked us for refills once and cleared maybe 2 or 3 plates. In addition to my own table, the couple tables beside us all got up to refill their own drinks because no one was getting refills, and stacked our own plates at a nearby unused table because there was no one clearing them. At the end of the meal, it took absurdly long to get the check and then there was 18% gratuity INCLUDED on the check (we were a party of 5).

I will never return to this restaurant. Easter buffet was terrible, lids were never closed, food was cold and for $22 per person there should have been more of a selection. I had to search for a clean plate because even after someone brought out more plates there was still food stuck to them #gross... the deserts were in the hallway which made no sense because they only had six warmers and a so called salad bar (salad, tomatoes and cucumbers... lol that is not a salad bar). The manager was ignorant from the time we walked in and accused my daughter of faking being sick because of their food but she was completely fine prior to eating a piece of ham. This place is not a friendly atmosphere. The bathrooms are just as disgusting as the food! The only nice thing about this restaurant is the view. I would give this a no star rate but it will not allow that.

IN LOVE with this course, Love/hate that is. Such a nice course, beautiful views alongside one of the last functioning steel mills in the city. Kennywood right across the river, as well as a view of downtown from the parking lot. Definitely not a walking course, mountain goat golf seems to be a common description and accuracy is always at a premium. Irons off the tees wont hurt too much, as its not a very long course. Although two of three holes will force you to drive if you want a green in regulation and you will pay dearly if it heads left or right. That being said, bring a few extra balls and a good attitude and you will love Grand View.

This is a very well maintained course not far from the city with decent rates. Extremely challenging it will punish you if you cant hit the ball straight. So if you struggle with a slice or hook this may not be the place for you as you will likely lose A LOT of balls and take plenty of penalty strokes. At the same time its rather short and many of the holes you can (and probably should) keep your driver in the bag and pull out a 3 iron or fairway wood. I reckon those bemoaning the course can hit the ball straight and/or cant swallow their pride and leave the driver in the bag.

I keep coming back 1) because it offers a mix of challenging & scoring holes & 2) it is consistently in good condition, especially the greens. The front 9 is unwalkable unless youre an Army Ranger. The back 9 evens out but only relative to the front. There are four holes on the front 9 that feel similar to each other but once on the back 9 each hole feels unique. Exceptional views of Kennywood and an industrial plant across the Mon. Carts are equipped with gps and ride smoothly & silently. Do bring extra balls and congratulate yourself if you never lose one during a round.

Great golf course, if you play it often. Note, there are always deals. Dont ever pay full price. They use golf now, and others. $25 with cart in the summer for the weekends is what we typically pay. However, if this is your first time, you may like the view, but dealing with the wind, blind shots, and endless hills can be frustrating. If you are thinking about going for the first time. ASK to be paired with some of the members so they can help you with the endless blind shots.

Our group watched the starter send out a group of 6, followed by a single, followed by a twosome. We then watched the same starter verbally accost a group in the parking lot, in front of anyone within earshot of his voice. Even if the course wasnt nearly unplayable due to the layout, the unprofessional staff should keep you away. Spare yourself the headache and drive a little further to play.

Ok nothing against the course itself, they layout is ok I guess, however, there were 2 old guys purposouly holding up multiple groups out of spite because somebody hit a ball into their fairway, the starter was a jerk and sent us from the front to the back after we already hit our drives on the first hole, there was no ranger to speed up the play and overall I dont recommend this course

@Lukasss24 - Clearly you must not know what you are talking about since you can not even speak proper English. Probably just another disgruntle employee. Anyways, this course is great! Challenging, reasonable rates, and great views. Obviously the average golf hack will not enjoy this course, but if your looking for a challenge this is definitely the course to check out.

Awesome modernized golf carts with electronic scoring and GPS. Amazing views of a steel mill and Kennywood across the river. The course is tough but if you play conservatively and opt for accuracy over distance its not bad. Still wouldnt take any beginners here to play Only thing Im not a fan of is the service here. The employees never seem that happy to see you.

Mountain goat golf on the front nine. Back nine is a little better. Several cart paths are frankly unsafe with severe drop-offs and no guard rail. Bring a lot of balls as there is no room for error on the front. Make sure that the cart has good brakes. Seriously. On the positive side, the views are great.

We had a group of nine play here. This is one of my favorite courses now. The view is great, the holes are challenging, and I love the gps screens in the carts! Fairways and greens are well maintained and are in great shape. The cart trails need maintenance but thats a small issue compared to the course.

My experience was awfull the the manger was ignorant and I got sick and the manger said that I was lying and the food was cold and disgusting and there was not that much to eat it was ridiculous and the plates were dirty and the lids to the warmers where never shut

Course is always kept in great shape, it is a demanding track that requires a fairly precise tee shot. Almost all of the holes are fair, only a couple are what I would consider to be poorly designed. But they play the same for everyone.
