The recently-opened (April 2016) center is in the heart of the revitalized center of Allentown, a half-block from Hamilton Street and next to one of the big parking decks, making access easy. The center has two gallery spaces featuring regional LGBT artists, a lending library of fiction, non-fiction, DVDs, and childrens books. Regular and special-event programming including health talks, discussions, film screenings, readings, and meet-and-greets take place in the large meeting room/auditorium on the second floor. Administrative offices and specialized services, including a health outreach service, are on the third floor.

Theyve done a beautiful job renovating this old building, using &/or re-purposing what could be salvaged, while reconfiguring its space to be bright, airy, efficient & welcoming. Having just opened, their programs are in their infancy. However, they already have a lending library of LGBT books, DVDs & CDs, as well as 2 (small) art galleries. In addition, some organizations have permanent offices in the building so they may better serve our community. This long-awaited space will [hopefully very] soon be a part of all of our everyday lives.

Elizabeth Bradbury said to me "If someone with HIV asked me for help, I would not help them.". Mr. Shankar advised me via email not to ask politicians they were supporting about HIV funding. I do not know what their agenda is, but I do not believe helping people with HIV in a meaningful way is part of it. My intent in writing this review is to share my experience in order to protect survivors of HIV. I strongly encourage you to seek care at another facility with trained and competent staff that do not discriminate.

I cannot stress enough the importance of their work here. Its a wonderful building with well designed spaces. The artwork is powerful, the library full, the people knowledgeable.
