Horrible service all the way around. I took my parent-in-laws from Peru bowling there for their first time, after 3 frames and a total of 15 pins being knocked down between the two of them I asked if they could put the bumpers up for them. They stated the bumpers are only for people under 12. I told our server who was very slow at bringing beers that I did not like this stupid policy and she began to tell me why it was a good policy. Really, I, as a paying customer, complain about something and the staff is going to tell me why I am wrong instead of showing compassion. How is it a good policy that my 60 year old mother-in-law bowling with a 6 pound ball, throwing gutter ball after gutter ball cannot have the bumpers up to have a good time? Avoid this place and spend your money where people care about your experience. I went to complain to the manager about my disagreement with the policy and told him that it was going to be my last time patronizing the establishment and all he said was sorry it is policy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!! They are lucky that it is not possible to give 0 stars.

This is a great fun place just to relax! The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. They have something for everyone, from cosmic bowling, open bowling, leagues, tournament, free classes (Bowling 2.0), to one on one training. The pro shop staff is highly knowledgeable and quick to help guide you in finding the RIGHT ball, not just sell you any ball. They have numerous leagues for virtually any type of bowler, from novice to pro, from youth to senior, from relaxing fun to competitively serious. The facilities themselves are kept clean (including the bathrooms) and they keep up with the maintenance despite the age of the building and equipment. The food they serve though seems to be somewhat lacking. They have a decent variety, but either need to expand their menu, or rotate in new items occasionally. The quality is about what you could expect from a bowling alley.

Great Lanes and GREAT PEOPLE! We love to bowl there and our company rents it out for events as well but most important their management is amazing. The manager Phil actually drove us home when our car broke down but before that drove us to an auto zone on his own personal time then back and forth and when we could not get our car to start drove us home. Even during our time with him out in the parking lot in the rain, he offered to assist a worker there too if he needed. These people really care about people and go the extra mile- they are what is missing in most of todays businesses " Good People who CARE". We will be a lifelong goes that is for sure! Great place for food and family fun. Our girls have been league bowlers for the last few years. We have gotten to know the staff and consider this a safe place for the girls to hang out. It is an awesome escape from the weather... too hot - go bowl, too cold - go bowl. They have a wonderful kids menu and you get quality food for reasonable prices. We have hosted many birthdays and parties and have had nothing but premium experiences. I am super bummed Sunset Lanes is going to be replaced with King Pins. I just hope they keep the family feel.

My friend and I are visiting from Los Angeles where we have plenty of bowling alleys of different variety. We came to Portland and needed something to do for the nights. This place was great. After trying 2 other bowling alleys, we finally found this one and loved it. Staff was friendly and on top of things. The lanes were groomed very well. Plus, the atmosphere overall was family-oriented. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area or just visiting like we are. Oh and it stays open later than the other 2 that we visited!

Called ahead to reserve a lane.They said 1 hour wait no reservations. When we arrived they said 1.5 hours for 1 lane, put us on the list and said their pagers dont go that long. After having to stand to pizza while checking for our lane every half hour. I noticed my name had been passed and 4 others had gone ahead of me! At this point it was overs two hours. On my way out I told them I was leaving. They said they wanted their pager back, that they never gave us.

Had a pretty good time, except for another customer who kept complaining about the bumpers. It looked like he was trying to get them for his grandmother, who was throwing gutter ball after gutter ball. She was terrible. And that ball couldnt have been more than 6 pounds, but she seemed to be struggling rather a lot. Luckily, they didnt bring him the bumpers; doesnt he know those are for 12-year olds? Other than that, I had a good time. Beer was choice.

I feel like this place has great potential to be a nice SE type retro arcade/bar but it doesnt quite live up to that. Recent update makes it much nicer. Nice updated bar, but food is very lacking and usually pretty empty. Upside is nice TVs and always have game on and will turn volume up for you. Downside is that, like many american suburb places, it lacks personality/charm.

Had a group of 7 Our lane kept acting up wasting our turns. Told worker who looked to be a supervisor of some sort. (Poor excuse for one) and said "Ill have my mechanic look at it" no one ever came. We ended up having to ask one of the other employees that was walking by to help. spent over $200 for an awful time. I would recommend trying somewhere else before coming here.

I dont like this place. The manager is a jerk big bald guy. The drinks are overpriced the food even onion rings are disgusting. Bowling is fun but you have to be a kid in order to get the gutter blockers up, so not even an old lady can have fun. The games are over price with cheesy toys very expected. I find myself going here once every year

Although Ive only been here almost every Friday night for the past couple months, it is a spectacular display. The lights, the music, the staff, the food and the bar has a great atmosphere to it. The employees that work that night provide great customer service, are always friendly and are fast as they can to serve

Ive been Bowling here for years. The Lanes can be challenging but they are fun to bowl. The food here is amazing. Not your typical fried food. The owners have done a great job in making the a quality facility whether you want to bowl on a league or just hang out with friends.

Best customer service anywhere!! The food/cocktail servers, the front desk folk and the kids that clean up our messes, chase down the dead wood or even just making sure our tables and playing area is always clean is the best in the world. So glad to be a part of this family.

Loved the experience. Great packages and they accommodate little kids. This was our little guys 1st time bowling and he already wants to go back. We used a Groupon, but even with out it you cant beat the prices and games. Staff friendly and respectful.
