Langdon farms is the best course in Portland pound for pound. The staff is great, super friendly and accommodating. The staff is great from the GM(David Stead) to the pro shop to the tee box. Specifically Aaron, Luke and Kevin "Honeycutt" Honeyman in the Pro Shop and Mr. Conerly out on the tee box, those four get it, again theyre super accommodating. The course is in amazing shape year round. It drains better than any course in the area. The pro shop is also great, they seem to offer more then any other pro shop in the area in classy way, its not like a flee market. The presentation is clean yet there is plenty to choose from. Finally the restaurant offers great food in a pleasant atmosphere. Friday night they have a bonus of live music in the restaurant. The only thing I wish was better was pace of play. Sometimes on the weekend the pace of play in the afternoon gets a little slow, I wish the marshals would be a little more forceful, I feel someone out on the 3rd tee with a clock would be helpful along with someone driving around policing pace of play beyond the 3rd hole. But that being said the great things about Langdon far overshadow that one issue. Far and away my favorite course in Portland.

We have several groups that regularly play Langdon on Fridays and Sundays. We absolutely love what we call our "country club." One of the first things that you will notice is the friendly staff. Keith, Luke, Aaron, Kevin, Andrew are polite and welcoming. There are several newer female staff members that are also great. The marshals are wonderful also. John and Mike usually send us off and always have a great attitude. The course is fun to play and very well maintained. We played through the winter and it has probably some of the best draining fairways you will find anywhere in the Portland metro area. The cart staff are also great. Mary and Ali are some of our favorites. Without getting to carried away, we always enjoy our meals and food service at the restaurant. Many times we call our orders in at the turn so that we can eat on the fly. Ive played all over the country and I am very comfortable calling Langdon my home away from home.

Great public course. Hard to score well but not extremely penal. Course is always in amazing condition. They are always proactive and the landscaping is the equivalent of any country club in the area. The greens are always in prefect condition and they can be quite fast. They have a problem with lack of sand in the traps that will require a major reconstruction of all the traps. My best advice is to stay out of them. The staff is friendly and if you are a Farm Club member the green fees are quite reasonable. Most of the players are fairly accomplished so that most rounds are between 3:50 and 4:20. If you are early on a weekday you should be able to beat that time. The driving range is well maintained and the balls are quite good. They need a sand trap practice area and could use a short game area available to all.

On the 2nd of May 2013 in the pro shop we inquired about a rumor of a 25% discount on green fees for Veterans. They checked and found out there was such a discount. We got our discount and played 18 holes after which we asked about the next time and the dude in the pro shop explained that the manager decided that it wasnt such a good idea after all and wouldnt honer the discount. Now I can understand the desire to save some money especially during one of most productive spring golf seasons probably on record. I can see it if only you werent busy. But you are and this is just greed plane and simple. Lets stick it to the Vets. The course is exceptional but your way of doing business really sucks.

This is by far the finest course in the Portland area for the value. I have played this course consistently for the past 4 years all year round and the owners are always putting money in the course to keep it in excellent condition. They have fixed fairways that had previously not drained as well in the winter and they are continually doing other maintenance too. This is a very fun course to play and you can make it as easy or challenging as you want by choosing different sets of tees to play from. Go out and enjoy this course and you will not be sorry. The staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they play Country and Western music on their sound system.

Fantastic golf experience for a public course. It is always immaculately maintained and well landscaped, and has the feel of a private country club, for a public course price. It is a challenging, and fun lay out for a links-style course. I enjoy the fact that I get to use all of the clubs in my bag over 18 holes. Even the golf range is enjoyable, as you can hit off the grass when weather allows, and under cover during more inclement/colder weather. All the staff are very professional and friendly, and remember their frequent guests. Manager Luke Huebsch is always helpful and willing to accomodate players needs. Great golf course!

My brother & I regularly golf Saturday mornings and I would like to let Langdon Farms know what an asset Ray Phelps is to your staff. He surpasses expectation as a starter. Besides getting us out on time, our conversations with him are priceless. I want to extend our shout out to the other course marshals (John John, Big Mike, Wild Bill, Dan, Dennis & the others we know by face). The front desk staff are also welcoming. The greens keeper and his crew does great job with the course along with the young morning crew that sets up the driving range. These are the reasons that we chose to golf at Langdon Farms every week.

I play at Langdon regularly and it is a very good course and by far the driest course in the area during the winter. I used to be a country club guy and Ive played all the private golf course in the area, and I can honestly say that Langdon is manicured as well as any private course in the area. The guys in the pro-shop are great, theres no shortage in customer service. Luke is very helpful and accommodating. You want to play and dont have a tee time, no worries Ray will do his very best to get you out. Great job guys, Im proud to belong to the Langdon family.

Langdon Farms is an excellent golf course. I personally believe that the condition of the course is better there than any other course in the Portland area, including other top-tier courses like Pumpkin Ridge and The Reserve. I also am a fan of the design and believe that it is unique and fun. As far as the staff and facilities go, I feel treated like a member of a country club. Granted that I do play there quite a bit, which is why I think that most of the staff knows who I am now - but still, they go out of their way to help me out.
