When I called I specifically asked, is it family friendly? and asked about smoking in the hotel part, well the Hotel part is suppose to be non smoking but smells like smoke strongly through the entire place , wouldnt have been so bad if it was just me but I had a 1 and 9yr old with me. We were traveling and picked here to rest for the night. Tried to get a refund 20min after checking in and according to the manager thats not allowed, I explained to her that the smoke smell was so strong my one year old couldnt handle it. I was even feeling sick from it. She offered me another room that wasnt any better so we just left without getting our $100+ back. . I realize its a hotel and casino but Ive stayed at other Choctaw Casino/Hotel locations and have never had this issue. I thought I was staying with a trusted name based on the other locations Ive stayed at but I was wrong. Its not smoke free, the whole place is strong smelling. Also, I just want to add how heartless the manager is after I told her my one year old was having a hard time with the smell, "all I can do is move you to another room, No refunds" Parking sucks too! & The front desk kid wasnt very welcoming from the jump. No room service or call in orders to run down and pick up to take back to your room. You HAVE to eat at the restaurant. All which was inconvenient for a family with young ones. Do not recommend to anyone with kids. Or to anyone that has problems with smoke smell.

we drove the 315 miles to this casino to try it out on Jan 13 ,2016 We should have known to not stay or play for long as the casino was nearly empty Arriving about 4 in the afternoon knowing that was a little early for the night crowd, we decided to play and see if we could do any good I have to say we left at 10 P.M. and there were not very many people there than when we first arrived As we walked in we were met by several people saying you are wasting time and money even going in The wife and I played slots that in other casinos always seem to give some play time or a small return We both played new machines and no better luck with those The people we did observe playing all played minimum bet and some were not even playing all lines We did see several people hit bonus rounds and get nothing or very little in return A really disappointing trip and will not be back We have been playing slots for a lot of years so we understand casinos are in it to make money But at least some give you some playtime There is no place to walk up and get a soft drink, you have to wait on a hostess and they are few and far between. I finally got the attention of one and 4 hours latter she had not returned The parking is really inconvenient which does not help matters either. I do not like having walk that long distance at night Did not feel secure at all Not this one

They promised up to $500 in free play for new players. Having never been to this casino, I went to sign up for their players club and get my free play, well apparently, I had been to one of their other casinos at some time in the past, so of course, they wouldnt give it to me. I proceeded to play anyway, and one time during the night, I hit a $1400 jackpot on a slot machine. They sent the pit boss over to "verify " that I had won, but upon inspection, he determined that the machine had "malfunctioned", and that nullified the win. At this point, I purposefully made a scene, hoping the other patrons would hear what had happened, get behind me, and demand the casino to do the right thing. All I got instead was surrounded by security and told to leave. Now I know how their ancestors must have felt when the white man gave them some beads and other trinkets and told them to get off their land. Ive told people for years that they dont build those big buildings to give their money away, and I found out first hand one of the ways they keep from doing just that. I wouldnt recommend going to this place, because even on the off chance you win, you still lose. F|_|€|{ these people, and their cash grabbing establishment! If I could give 0 or negative stars, I would.

I ate buffet at Gilleys restaurant last night. When I went through line, there was a raw piece of prime rib laying there. The prime rib was thick also. I didnt want that piece of prime rib. The guy that was attending the prime rib said he would heat me another piece in the skillet. He did but he gave the piece that I wanted to someone else. When I also got up from my table to get some ice cream, the waitress cleared my table and took my water and coffee. She brought a coffee cup back with cream in it. Might have been my coffee cup, but she should have brought me a fresh cup out since she took my coffee cup. There is a strange and weird guy with brown hair that works there and he may work in the security dept. He is very unfriendly and looks very unfriendly. If you become in close contact with him, he turns his head completely to the opposite side. He has worked there for a few years. I reported some things in the past that dealt with security. I was ignored last year with my report. This guy with brown hair that works there has bad emotional problems. He needs another kind of job instead of his security position. I dont like to go because they dont treat people right.

My husband and I love this place !...I dont like to go anywhere else...I love everything about it...We have been here many times...Sometimes we win and sometimes we dont its all part of playing no matter where you go... but they have a great variety of machines to play..I love the landscaping and the decorations inside the casino...they take great pride in keeping it looking amazing...We call it our home away from home ...we truly enjoy every trip here...the staff is always nice,friendly,and helpful and the rooms are very nice..What I am impressed about is the fact that they offer a lot of things for people over 50 ...I enjoy all of the machines they have and the space between them....even if it is crowded it never feels closed up because of the space .We have sent many of our friends here and they enjoy it too...If you are looking for a GREAT" get away I say come here !....I think you will enjoy it .. I have posted many times on Trip-Advisory about this casino because I want others to see it ....Thank You POCOLA for such a AMAZING place to go !!!! Linda & Vern Lester

I paid $18 for buffet plus had added on prime rib. They stamp your hand for prime rib. Salad bar was good. Prime rib was good but they do not serve a satisfying amount. A slim piece. I went for seconds and I guess you are not suppose to because he looked at me and gave me a shaved piece. The lady next to me frowned when she saw what he had done. I was embarrassed. So I did not continue to eat off buffet. I just had what little they gave me in prime rib, salad, mashed potatoes and water. My husband who did not order off buffet said food was better at Golden Corral and we dont even eat there! He said the ribs were like shoe leather. He liked his salad, ice cream and water! We do not recommend this buffet unless it would cost you $7 or less! Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly. It was a disappointment and costly.
