I have gone there a few times. Each time has been a different experience first time I called first an asked about a breeding pair of clownfish, was told that they had them so I informed the I would drive there an that I was almost 2 hours away. When a buddy an me got there the woman there was trying to sell them to someone else so I spoke up. An they customer she was trying to sell them to said I can have them. My buddy who was there with me asked a few questions to the lady there. The lady in there store was so nasty with him he walked out of the store not believing how rude she was. I got the over priced fish home they wouldnt eat so I called the store an asked what they were eating the lady there didnt know I told them the clownfish had a white string coming out of them an was told it was nothing. Comes to find out it was a bad bacterial infection an both clowns died. I them called the store spoke with the guy there informed him on everything he what did I want him to do I said I wanted something that wasnt sick, the second time dealing with the store I called first asked about the deal we made on the phone an I let him know my friend was in the area an asked about another clownfish breeding pair he said he didnt have any an rarely have what I got the first time so I settled for a flame angel instead my friend picked it up an brought it to my house for me once again a bacterial infected sick looking fish it died. So on my next trip I went to the store with my friend he was looking for leds fish after fish was eighter dead or laying on its side Bearly breathing an nothing was in any shape to buy. On the last trip I called for my friend asked about if they had long tentacle anemone or bubble anemones the lady said all kinds an gave great prices over the phone so after a long drive with a friend they really didnt have much in stock an when I asked the woman once again about prices she said 25 on a long tentacle an 25 on large bubble then quoted on pink bubble 90 which is well over priced my friend settled on a 25 dollar long tentacle even asked again to make sure the price was right she lady said 25 again so he said the would take it. But then when she bagged the long tentacle anemone an he got to the register she said 60 dollars my friend spoke up an told her she said it was 25 several times. The lady got mad an offered my friend 35 on it an he said no that she said 25 the woman blew up on my friend an was rude to him again. She did the same thing to me when I got my first clownfish pair there. My friends an I will never go there or have an dealing there again every time we have gone there has always been problems from them trying to sell you aptisia covered live rock sick an dieing fish in the tanks to selling bacteria infected fish or having them in there tanks or having the woman there be rude an lie over the phone to you an when you drive there you find out something different or they try to add or change the price on things at the last minute. Worst place ever would not advise anyone to go there.

First let me say I am from Toledo, Ohio and all the fish stores in Toledo SUCK. This place is very close to Toledo and is probably the best place to buy saltwater around Toledo. Prices: I dont really like the fact that nothing has a price on it. You must ask the price. (which is sketchy for people new to the hobby). I was able to work with them on some things but your better off making the travel to Michigan if your looking for a good deal on corals/fish Selection: Much like the price, you must ask what kind of fish/coral you are purchasing NOTHING HAS A LABEL Quality: Coral- Good but mainly all zoa Fish- not too bad but not too good Service: Great help and good customer service. I would have gave it 5 stars if the prices&labels were posted. If the prices were cheaper I would have even gave it 5 stars. The venue itself is pretty small and the selection is pretty limited. Overall if your from Toledo and dont feel like driving up to Michigan The Coral Reef Inc is the place for you!

Mark and Susan are very knowledgeable and are truly passionate about this hobby. We dont go to any other fish store. Theyve been happy to answer all of our questions and have always been honest with us, even when it meant suggesting we dont buy something because our tank would not be ready for it. It is slightly pricier than other places but it is worth it and they are never pushy. The fish are healthy and beautiful and if they dont have something in stock they are happy to order it for you. They are dedicated to their customers and are always willing to work with you. For a hobby that takes a lot of money, dedication and knowledge, we have found we can rely on Mark and Susan for honesty, knowledge and support. I would love to see this business grow and thrive.

Will NEVER go back there again. My boyfriend and I are from the Dayton area and was browsing around when he noticed a purple tang had white under its dorsal fin. When he told the lady working, she dismissed it and told us there was nothing wrong with her fish. He tried to take a picture of the tang and she placed her hand in front of the camera, he told her she was being extremely rude and that we were only trying to help her fish if krypto had set in. We took our leave, and in getting into our car she took a picture of our plates. Do not shop there, take your business elsewhere.

I have been coming here for over a year now and it has always been a good experience for me. Super friendly owners, they are very helpful with advice and care about their customers. I wouldnt go anywhere else in the area for my reef tank supplies and fish. Great selection and very clean/well kept. I dont understand why anyone would write a bad review they will always have my business

Clean shop, tons of Zoas for sale, some nice frogs and the clam is epic. Seriously stop in just to see the clam. This is the only place in 100 miles that I have found wall climbing hammers. I wish there was more lps selection. If you had problems finding some toadstools there was tons here at my last visit.

The quality of the livestock and corals are the best in NW Ohio. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. I would never have gotten into the hobby had I not stopped by and talked with the owners. The expertise, coupled with the care they take of the animals is far worth the price.
