I tasted the Muscat wine from Delaney Vineyards at Grapefest in Grapevine this year and liked it. (Although, the Yellow Rose by Landon Winery in McKinney is superb!) Afterwards, I saw Delaney Vineyards on the way to work one morning and thought it would be nice to take a tour and do the wine tasting. I visited their website to see the times and days for tours and wine tasting. Their website says the last tour on Saturday is at 4:00 and there are no appointments necessary. A friend and I showed up at 3:30 yesterday and was told we could not do the tour because there was a wedding that day and the bride purchased another reserved hour at the last minute. The lady who greeted us at the door said this was posted on their Facebook page. I told her I dont have Facebook and their website does not state there could not be tours that day. Congrats to the bride, but they should be better about listing their times of availability for tours on their website rather than simply saying "no appointments necessary". We paid our $10 to do at least the wine tasting and were asked to walk through to the main area to begin. The cashier told us there was no rush and for us to enjoy the wine tasting. We walked in the room designated for wine tasting, and it appeared we walked into a wedding that just ended. A little weary, we looked around not sure where to go and then a lady with short dark hair and a plump tummy (not trying to be disrespectful - just not sure how else to describe her) rushed over to us with her arms out as if she was stopping us from walking any further and asked "Ladies, can I help you?" I explained that we were there for the wine tasting. She then looked around the corner for the cashier we paid our $10 to and asked "OK, is the lady not at the desk to assist you?" I explained that the cashier told us to come to this room after we paid our $10. She then said "Oh OK....so you already paid. Have a seat over here then." Feeling awkward and as if we were in the way or causing a burden, we sat down for the wine tasting. A very kind lady with longer dark hair served us the wines and described each one as she did. Our server was very hospitable. As my friend and I sat enjoying the atmosphere and our last glass of wine, the lady with the short dark hair and plump tummy rushed over to us and said "Ladies, Im going to have to ask you to wrap this up and carry your conversation elsewhere." Those were her exact words. Because of the way we were treated by this particular person, we will never recommend, purchase any products, or visit this place again. She was very rude.

Me and my friends felt like we were a burden on the girl that poured our wine. She never introduced herself so I have no idea what her name is. She rushed us through the wine tasting and she didnt even tell us about the wines we were drinking. She only told us the names of them and then was talking to another employee the whole time we were drinking our wine(which none of us cared for any of them). Then when we were done with that she escorted us to the gift shop and didnt even ask us if we wanted a tour. When we did ask, she acted like she didnt want to but did anyway. It lasted about 10 minutes since she talked so fast during the tour. I understand that we had gotten there right when they were having a wedding rehearsal, but their hours for the tours/tastings are until 5 and we got there at 4. If they are going to rush the last tasting/tour then they shouldnt start other events until 6. If I would have known we would be treated like crap we would have went earlier or not at all. I really wanted to like this place since I saw so many good reviews. But I wont be recommending this place to any of my other friends who are wine lovers.

This company made a charge to my card without my knowledge, which I didnt find out about until I called to cancel my order with them. I had given them my card info with the understanding they would call me the next day to let me know the full price with shipping. I was wanting to mail a bottle of wine to a relative as a gift. It was understood my card wouldnt be charged until I received that phone call and gave them the go-ahead. Days later I still hadnt heard from them. Finally, feeling disenchanted and having lost interest in making any purshase, I called to just go ahead and cancel. It was at that point I was informed my card was already charged and the wine shipped out days ago. So, basically this company took advantage of me leaving my card info with them in good faith. After I explained my disappointment with the manager and that I would like to be reimbursed the $44 that I never agreed to pay, I was denied. No sense of urgency on her part to rectify the situation whatsoever. I would advise no one trust this company with your card information.

This place is gorgeous and the staff is amazing! I am not an authority on wine and not much of a white wine drinker but Their Chardonnay is fantastic! Also I am really happy about the red blend and the Pinot Noir! They are dry and delicious and have beautiful tannins. They are the kind of wine you love and expect from Texas! And the sweet red is delicious even if you have never tried wine before. It should maybe come with a portion control warning... My fiancé and I fell in love with it at a tasting and knew this is where we wanted to get married! The staff is so friendly! We have been in contact with their event coordinator regularly and have had a great experience getting the information we needed to plan the wedding. I love telling people about my wedding venue and watching them light up because they have seen it at a tasting or have been there for another wedding! Its great! Check it out!

I couldnt describe properly one of the most exciting experiences I had as a sommelier while putting together a wine tv show at Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine, Texas. The facilities, the people, the decor and, definitely the wines, were espectacular! Most of their wines are from grapes grown in Lamesa, 60 miles south of Lubbock. I can guess, through tasting, that the weather conditions, although a little warmer than some winemakers may desire, were good enough to produce wines of great quality. One of them comes to my mind 15 years later: their Sauvignon Blanc, with loads of ripe fruit, incredible aromas and a really exciting spiciness framed with a touch of honey that I still remember with pleasure and puzzles my instints as a sommelier. A real challenge for Texans, and a great demonstration of true love for what they do. Cheers!

We visited this venue this past weekend for a potential wedding venue. It was so beautiful and exactly what I wanted and would have even been willing to pay for all the extras that they nickel and dime you for, but the girl who gave us the tour was SO RUDE! I couldnt believe how unfriendly and rushed the 5 minute tour was. I was in love with this place, but based on my experience with the awful customer service, I feel like that sets the tone for the place and so because of that Ill be going with another venue which is extremely disappointing because I had my heart set on this place. Venue would be 5 stars, but customer service is a 1 star at best.
