I have been there several times as I am an hour away, and I did buy fish there a year ago. Drove the hour Sunday 8/21 for the purpose of buying some fish, the show tanks look great but when i want to buy something, they said none of those fish was for sell, unless I wanted to pay 3 times the normal price, they did not say that but after asking how much a small Sailfin was in a frag tank and was told $100- $125 because of the tank it was in. I was directed to the back tanks for fish that were for sale, the fish in the back tank are very sick and in dirty conditions. There was 1 blue hippo that was so beat up and half of his tail was missing, I felt so bad. I would never introduce fish into my tank living in those environment, That was a great store 2 years ago, but they have fallen into despair. I ask about the price of an unusual black and white fish and was told between $800- and $1200 dollars, really, aka as how much can you spend, blew off all the negative reviews but now I have to believe them. Its sad to see a great saltwater store become a Petco.

This place is CRUD. They ripped off my Dad on some dried Tonga branch rock - $300 for a few pieces. My Dad didnt know any better and thought it was ok - told me the next day what he paid and I almost had a heart attack! I called to see about returning it (unused) for store credit and was told - no refunds. Ill never set foot in there again. Little did they know that my pocket is big for corals/fish etc. They couldve obtained a lot of business from my father and I, but poor customer service is a no-no in this day and age and with the amount of places to go in this area, I highly recommend you stay away from Blue Fish. I have talked to many people since my encounter there and every person I talked to has a similar experience - overpaid. Bottom line. Ask around - they took a very nice couple for $10,000 on a 75 gallon setup. Thats absurd!!!!!

Great place overall, but you have to know what you are doing in this hobby or you will get ripped off. The basic rules of any retail experience apply. Know your prices and do your research. There are some great deals at this place, and some VERY expensive and sometimes overpriced items. Id give them 5 stars if there were better prices on the dry goods. ***** 5 STAR - Great Livestock ***** Some good deals on coral to be had, but that is not the reason to buy from this place. Definitely the healthiest live fish and live coral store in the area. They keep very clean tanks and their livestock is very healthy. Great selection too, especially for coral but the stuff sells quick so check their Facebook page for livestock shipments.

This store rocks for people who love saltwater fish and corals!!! I bought a Yellow Fox Face Rabbit Fish from Ryan 3 years ago and he/she is still in my tank today. The only disappointment was I wanted to get a couple of sand shifting starfish. Out of stock, but I bought a Korean AngelFish and 4 damesls which I must say were well taken care of. The staff is awesome and knowledgeable. They knew what I was looking for down to the DI filter I needed for my 3 stage system. Again the only disappointment was no shifting sand starfish. But all in all I will go back to Blue Fish Aquariums and buy from them. Ryan, if you could? Let me know when you get some sand shifting starfish back in stock? I would greatly appreciate it.

Blue Fish is exactly what a SALTWATER aquarium store should be! Most of the employees have at least 10 years of experience in the hobby, and each one specializes in a different area from nano tanks, to SPS, to anemone care, and more! They always have hundreds of different corals in stock, from the five dollar frags, to some of the most amazing scolys Ive ever seen! Theyre extremely fair on prices and will always hook you up on deals, especially if youre on their monthly newsletter which often has coupons on it anyways! They are a certified dealer of Ecotech products and seem to have the newest gear the day its released by the manufacturer. Blue Fish is amazing, Ive never seen a better store.

Austin, this is Ryan owner of Blue Fish. Im sorry your experience did not reach your expectations. Come back up to the shop and Ill make you happy guaranteed!! We might be a small store for now but we pack a powerful punch! We price all livestock 5%-10% lower than all our comparable competitors and offer price matching just in case we missed one! Also, we are doubling our store space and expect to be finished with all construction by the end of May. So be ready for more equipment and bombing corals!!!! Thanks again for stopping by the store, hope to see you soon! Ryan

This store is a tiny strip mall style store with little variety and overpriced livestock. I bought a duncan from them and it had tiny algae growth on the frag plug. Turns out its bryopsis, a highly invasive algae. It went sexual and i have a nice forest of this algae suffocating my corals. I called to tell them they have a problem and they responded with "we know", without offering an apology. They acted like this was normal and standard for aquariums. Ill have to nuke everything and start over or dose kent tech m. Thanks for that cost. Avoid it like the plague.

This is my favorite fish store to go too. Every time I go there, theres always something new and fascinating that they just got in. I love the different variety of live stock and corals that you cant find anywhere else. The employees and the owner offer some of the best customer service I have experienced from any store. They are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to begin a saltwater aquarium or looking for something different to add to their tank.

If you live in northern Ohio and dont know about Blue Fish Aquariums by now, youve been living under a rock. This is the place to go for all things saltwater aquarium keeping, whether it be beginner fish or high end coral, any and all accessories, or answers to those questions you have no answer for. The store owner has been in the hobby for years and is as knowledgeable as they come, and makes sure his employees are as well. Simply put, this is the Mercedes of fish stores.

Worst aquarium store Ive been to. They sold me a return pump for my sump, and wouldnt allow me to return it at all. They told me the only thing I could do was contact the manufacturer. There isnt anything wrong with the pump, but they still wont take the pump back because it was opened. The worker at the store opened the box before I even bought it!!! The worker told me he didnt want me to leave angry, but still told me to contact the manufacturer after that.

Best place for saltwater fish and corals in the area. Never had a problem with any of the live stock I have purchased from them. The staff members are awesome and love to help you and talk about tanks. They have good equipment for sale too and good pricing on salt. My wife will usually come with me just to look at their tanks because they are so beautiful. If you want to see some amazing corals and fish, skip the Cleveland aquarium and just come here!
