I have seen several musicals and plays at this venue; however, last night I attended my first opera (Mozarts "Magic Flute"). The acoustics at the Aronoff are decent but not over the top. Seating locations are such that every seat has an excellent viewing angle with decent leg room, but not enough for a 6"4 man to fully stretch out. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Insider Local Guide tip: If you enjoy a cocktail before the show you can prepay for a second drink to be poured and ready for you at intermission.Tip number 2 -Close Parking is readily available but I recommend finding parking that is not so close to avoid a long wait to get out of the garages. If you dont want to fight the after-show traffic, there are several food and drink options adjacent to the Aronoff. Tickets bought online can vary in price so shop around for the best deal. All in all a great venue for any performance!

My wife and I attended the Fiddler on the Roof show on Saturday 2/19/11 at 2:00 and I wanted to contact you concerning our disappointment with the show. We have seen many top-rated national and international shows in Cincinnati, Chicago, New York, Columbus, Salt Lake City, London, as well as many regional and local productions, so I believe we have the experience necessary to speak on this subject. The subject show was sub-par due primarily to the lines being delivered much too quickly, many of the lines delivered were lacking energy or any emotion, and many of the roles were, well, just unconvincing. Particularly noteworthy were the actors playing the role of Constable (who spoke without emotion) and Golda, who forgot her lines, couldnt sing and quite frankly, was terrible in the roll. Overall the production was very amateurish and not worthy to be considered a "Broadway" type production.

Great place to see a show! Ive been coming downtown to see shows at the Aronoff since I was kid growing up in Cincinnati. Some of my favorite memories are there taking in Lord of the Rings and concert performances. I even had my high school graduation on stage there! A beautiful space with great seating all around (seriously, not a bad view even in the back). Stop in at Nada right next door before or after for great Mexican food and margaritas or head over to Fountain Square for ice skating in the winter or Graeters ice cream in the summer (or in the winter

I took my teen to see The Little Mermaid. It was our first time to the arnoff since she was a small child. The staff where super nice. Even showed me the box seats to make sure they were good seats for us. The play was awesome. Did get some usher attention for taking pictures which was totally my faught for not hearing not pictures, but they were still nice about the scolding. We had a whole box for $240 which was amazing. My daughter and I really had an awesome time.

Im glad Cincinnati has a world class performance theater in the middle of downtown, but i always leave just a bit underwhelmed. The acoustics are good, but most shows rely too much on the audio system so it airways feels a bit fake. The seating is comfortable, and the sightings are fine, but the room is far from intimate. The lobby is grand and i appreciate the circulation paths up to the different levels, but that architectural color scheme is hideous.

This is a visually gorgeous performance venue. The architecture is beautiful inside, and the acoustics are very good as well. One cool thing I like about the lobby is that the tile design from the inside matches up with the tile design on the sidewalk. The Procter & Gamble hall is magnificent for larger performances, and the Jarson Kaplan theatre is a more intimate space where there is never a bad seat. Perfect for a night on the town.

We went to see Something Rotten, the Musical. TheArnoff Cemter for the Arts building is magnificent. Even though , we were in the balcony we had an excellent view and great acoustics. Employees/volunteers made it easy to find our seats. Several exits allow the theatre to empty without any bottlenecks. There are bathrooms are every level eliminating the long bathroom line. Finally, if you go during the week, prices are reasonable.

The Jarson-Kaplan Theater is a perfect space for contemporary dance, but choose a seat at least four rows back from the stage to get a better view of the dancers when they are lying down or moving low. We saw "The Seldoms", hosted by the Cincinnati Contemporary Dance Theater and enjoyed the intimate atmosphere during the show and the q&a with the company after the performance.

Very fun to go here and see show, both plays/musicals and concerts. There really doesnt seem to be a bad seat in the house. My only criticisms would be that sometimes the sound/mixing doesnt seem very good (like you cant hear dialogue or lyrics very well) and that they could have more options for refreshments. Overall, I definitely recommend checking out a show here.

I recently saw the Phantom of the Opera with my fiance at the Aronoff. My first experience was with the Book of Mormon where I had a very similar experience. It was a fantastic experience. The acoustics of the venue are on point from any seat (I have had front row of the top deck as well as the back row of the top deck).

A great venue. Saw the Star Trek Live in Concert experience here. Only complaints would be that it gets pretty warm towards the top of the auditorium (heat rises and all) and the seats are a little tiny! Would definitely recommend spending a little extra for seats that arent in the nosebleed section!

Very nicely appointed theater spaces. In my experience, there have been some issues with sound amplification. Sound for The Book of Mormon was overpowering at times. And the balance between singers and orchestra in the Cincinnati Opera performances needed work. But overall, a wonderful experience.

The Aronoff is a great place to watch a play. Comfortable seating, good acoustics, and a good overall design. If seeing a stand-up comedian or one man show, Id recommend paying for the closer seats as it can be a little difficult seeing one stationary figure from the cheaper seats.

Absolutely well designed center to get people quickly in and out, the staff are decent, and the acoustics are good. Its nice that the idiot boxes were limited when this place was built showing that the architect knew what was needed to be done.

The Arnoff offers some of the best entertainment in Cincinnati. From ballet to comedy to Broadway shows and sll in between, its great.,Seats are small, and some events can be a bit pricey....still worth 5 stars to me.

This venue offers a classy but dated interior. They could stand to do some upgrades to both their decor and their seating. If youre seeing a major play in Cincinnati, this is probably your only choice.

This place is so beautiful. The people who work there are always very friendly and helpful. The shows are fantastic. I went and saw the little Mermaid yesterday and my boyfriend and I had a great time!
